hps question...

ive heard at 50% ur spectrum is changed to much but at 75% its minor. i really didnt see much of a tempature shift when i cut back to 75% so now im thinking about just running it back up to 100% i have modded my ventilation as much as i can for now , ill get an a/c when i can afford it probably wont be this grow tho. fucked up and spent my budget on booster fans not realizing the cfm listed wasnt the actual cfm so instead of 500cfm per 8 inch im only running 210 per 8inch... the 12 inch fan blowing on my light towards the exhuast helped a ton tho.... 20151011_083513.jpg20151011_083405.jpg

tempatures were at 97 at the hottest point of the say , i added an 8 inch exhaust and moved the 12 fan to where it is in this pic and dropped my temp down to 84 at the hottest point of the day....

lol yes harley just fucked on funds atm.... gonna upgrade next grow actually after i havest and cure my first plant... there is different flowering times in there right now my closest is 4-5 weeks from harvest...

btw that 85 high is at the hottest point of my room and at the height of my highest bud away from all the exhausts my whole room isnt that temp... in some places its 75 near my exhuasts , also most of my canopy is much lower ,

i dont really see a cool tube or air cooled hood accomplishing to much more then my current set up... my next move is gonna be a 14000btu dual line a/c but like i said that wont be for atleast a month

Yup need to check temp under light hand a lil thermometer under light for temps

Kooltubes ,kooltubes ,kooltubes! hotrod has your best interest in his posts, hey man no worries ya gotta start somewhere right? I'd also like to try to convince you to steer clear of digital ballasts, imho they can't hold a candle to mag tech, in the long haul. Yes i have 12 years experiance with both hps/mh

Cool tube will take away atleast half the heat in the room so the heat from light goes away from tent

yea i get that... only difference between a air cooled hood , cool tube , and what i have now is no enclosement around the bulb , and smaller intake and exhuast pusing it thru , imo a better airflow pushing that hot air out just not as focused

Here i'll show you how i run a flower tent of mine using similar tech ok? tent is a basic growlab 120 3' 11" x 3' 11 " x 7 foot, 600 kooltube hps wind tunnel 4 inch inline fan pulling from the end of the kooltube out of the tent itself like so.........

that and the inline fan will BLOW AWAY (lmao bad analogy i know) the one your using for cooling and air transfer, the one your using on your bulb is the type i use to ocsilate and blow into the canopy! i just wanna see you succeed man.

thats what i was using to oscillate as well had to ghettofy....i know ur trying to help and u have a valid point,,, but what im saying is that i have an exhaust fan on the one side a 12 inch fan on the other,,, the wind travels from outside of my room into a 6inch booster, then into the back of my oscilating fan.... then on the bulb thru the wing and into the exhuast .... thus pushing the hot air out of my room

It seems like you probably get bugs with all that garbage in front of your tent
