Hydro or Soil: which "TASTE" the best.. No really?

Soil vs Hydro. Organic vs inorganic. I do not believe any of these factor into the taste. It's all about curing. Ever hear anyone who smokes a joint and says "aahh this is some fine hydroponic grown with organic nutes"

What I'm saying is that I believe taste has more to do with the cure than what method was used to grow the product to begin with. Two of my buds side-by-side (dirt and hydro) will have a taste so similar that you couldn't tell which one is which. That being said, I'm not one that thinks bud has much of a flavor other than earth and spice. It's always pleasant and smooth, but I'm skeptical when people claim they taste berries or mango or whatever, but that's beside the point.
Oh yeah, mango - almost ripe mango, coffee, decaffeinated, organically grown and fair trade of course, a hint of 72% cacao dark chocolate with an oakey finish. :)

LOL, you have quite the taste pallet, such an eclectic young man. So if im getting this right homebrew, I can nail my trees (well soon to be trees) to the sky with chem nutes in a hydro setup and as long as I flush properly, and give enough time for a proper cure then soil/hydro organic/inorganic it all means jack squat? because if thats the case then I have to find some of the baddest chem nuts that grow super trees and just watch mother nature take over :hump::weed: :joint:

Last year I grew some in 100% perlite buckets, and some in
Soil. I noticed the ones I. Soil had a better flavor.
But not by a lot.

The thing is, there's lots of different types of "hydro" (dwc, rockwool, coco, hydroton, perlite, flood and drain, drain to waste, drip, NFT, aero, organic, chem, etc..), and also different types of soil (peat based, coco based, miracle grow, roots organic, dirt, etc..).

Personally, I've grown in coco and soil, and I thing coco produces better bud, which in turn has a better taste.

I've never be able to taste the difference between hydro and organic (or even indoor vs outdoor). The subtle differences in curing and even the moisture content will throw me off every time.
