Hydroponics Trouble-Chopped plant what happens to other?

So I found out 1 out of my 2 plants, using Sunleaves Garden of Ease Hydro set up, was a male last night and had to cut it down. Showed male after 44 days in a hydro box:shock:. it was very stubby. The other plant is nearly six times the size and showed to be female at 28 days, which was almost a week before flowering.
My question is will the chopped plant continue to grow or will it cause root rot? I just cut the base and nott the roots, so technically the plant is still taking nutrients:?.

Someone mentioned hygrozeme to me which kills dead plant material and helps growth, but are my roots dead? The plants roots are insanely intertwined so I cant seperate the roots.
Whats best? Chop down and give some hygrozeme or other solution, or let it grow?..if it will....:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

Any input is awesome
Thanks

It will not grow if there are no nodes. Yes it will cause root rot if your do not separate it from the garden.

You need to cut out the best you can. The roots are dying but maybe you could use some cal-mag plus to keep the other roots healthy

Thank you for replying.
What is cal-mag and dyou know of anything to clear the dead roots or should i flush the res a time or two after i cut the roots?

Its my first time growing hydro so im fairly newMarilyn.jpg to hydro.
Ive been feeding on a Fox Farms nute schedule with one extra week of veg.
I give whatever the schedule calls for and feed nutes every week and change the res every 2 weeks.

Has anyone heard of hygrozyme? or tried it.

Heres a pic of the female(big) and male who i cut off. this was a day before i chopped biggy shorty

Update if anyone wanted...its been almost 3 weeks since i left my other plants chopped roots, which were entangled to the larger plant, inside the reservoir.
Nothings changed and it looks better than ever with frostiness all over and the roots are the same basic white/creamy color. Coming up on week 5 of flowering(week 11 total). :eyesmoke: this being said I really don't think you need to cut out all roots just what you can, because all the nutrients give enough support to keep everything healthy.bongsmilie:lol::eyesmoke:;-)

So yay!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

If you are using reverse osmosis water you need to add Cal/Mag ( Calcium Magnesium ) R/O water filters the Cal/Mag out so you have to add it to your reservoir.. If you use tap water then its already in the water.

well i use roundys purified lol, but everything is working out for the best..buds like these @ 30 days is more than i coulda hoped for for my first grow.

Thanks for the info!
