I agree about all the people talking about ripping the plants too. Thats terrible, and I would literally be heart broken and in a really bad spot if someone totaled my crop, but thats why I grow indoors. Haven't you guys seen those bumper stickers
Lol, thought that was a funny one, but seriously there is way too much anger with some in our community. We all need to work together to push into the future. The ONLY reason Cali didn't legalize a few years back when they had the vote was because of all the growers, and dealers that voted against it because it would have cost them money. So despite the people it would keep out of jail, and lives it would better, and all the other benefits they are worried about profits. I hate when growers refuse to share cuts, and isolate genetics so they can corner a market. This plant is all about love, connection, and healing we need to be sharing our best genetics (as long as the people can really grow), and helping each other like RIU is about in the first place. That is how new better strains will be made, not by the pollen chuckers, and commercial breeders like Swerve that don't really care the outcome. Ok I'm done ranting.
I think a "landowner" note, or a note from "a hunter" would be a great idea. This would be a third party as was mentioned previously, and take any suspicion off another grower. Personally if I found a note on some plants I would be taking what I could carry, and maybe snapping off some branches to save genetics, and getting the fuck out for good. This could actually leave you with extra plants come harvest time. If it became obvious no one was caring for them any more, or no one fever came to harvest them I'd prolly water them once ina while if need be, and I'd harvest them sure as hell before I'd let them rot on the stem BUT ONLY if it was obvious the guy was gone.
The guy that mentioned a trail cam was also spot on, that being said WATCH FOR TRAIL CAMS GUYS!!!!! Lots of hunters are using them now, and are very good at hiding them! If you set up a cam you might find out its your best friend or your next door neighbor that is the other grower and you would have never known.
If yours are in pots and you can move them, that would be your safest idea since its plausible this guy could have walked off into the bush and found yours, or could any day. Otherwise I would prolly try a non threating note. Simply "To the person who owns these plants. I am the land owner here and I came across your garden and don't want to damage it or cost you anything, but it can't stay here. I will be watching the area to ensure you remove these in a timely manner or I will have to. I'm sorry for the trouble, but I don't want this stuff on my property though I wish you the best in your venture." or something along those lines I think would scare him right off with out being unpleasant or threatening. In reality its just safer for both of you if one of you moves so how hard is moving might decide what you end up doing here.
The idea of leaving it as cover for your grow is a bad idea. If yours really is hidden well, but this is close and not hidden it could be enough to draw attention. Even if the cops chop this guys grow, they would definitely check the surrounding woods for other plots, and or possible smell it once it was in full bloom. But if no one ever even gets close the OPs grow could go better un noticed I think.
