Well, after a 24 hour stay in county due to a complication in getting me bailed out, mainly due to a TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR BOND!!!WTF??? I'm a free man.

Charges are as follows: Manufacturing, F. Possession, M. Par..

I was in shock when that magistrate gave me a 25k bond. I guess I got unlucky by getting the hardest one(magistrate) in the county.

Fuck, that's totally out of proportion. Sounds like they aren't crediting your 'cooperation' for anything-- readers of this thread should note this fact well. I hope the DA is more understanding than the magisrate. Time to up your game with a good lawyer, because they aren't playing nice at all.

Thank you for posting all that you have, Tharooman. I know it's hard to keep communicating through this crisis, but you may just save others here from this kind of abuse.

Let it serve as a good example. I thought, even with my past offenses, my bond would be lower.Hell, one of the sherrifs that was there booking me, even thought that it was crazy as hell. And no, that magistrate(Judge) Didn't care one bit.

Anything can be used against you in a court of law... they don't mention that anything you say can be used for you...so while it can hurt, it can't help.

I am going to assume you meant to say anything you say can NOT be used for you. Meaning that anything you say CAN be used AGAINST you, but if you have anything exculpatory at all the police CANNOT use it. Anything that benefits you will have to be presented by you or your lawyer when the time comes. If you present any of it to the police they cannot use it (by law - it is considered hearsay and not admissible).

For example you are 100% innocent and the police come to question you, and you give the 100% truth that you have done NOTHING illegal. Even if your story is 100% true, you haven't done anything wrong or illegal, the police CANNOT use any of that testimony you gave them. They can use it to hurt you (even if they take something 100% true and innocent and twist it) but they cannot use it to help by law.

Never speak with the police. Never let them in your house. The police are my enemy. Do not underestimate them and their intentions. They are all greasy scumbags far worse than the criminals they catch.

That's a really high bond. How many plants did they take? What state is this? I wish I'd found this thread earlier because I would've told you to drop everything and run before they pressed charges. You're entitled to leave the state up until the moment charges are filed... after which point it becomes a crime.

Got court coming up in a week or so. Last time I talked to my attorney the prognosis was good. Felonies dropped to misdemeanors.

Its just when it comes to your freedom, even a 1% chance of losing it makes me a tad nervous. And the DA ain't the judge. The judge can do what he wants.

Anyone wanting to send some good vibes my way would be much appreciated. I'll update this thread after my court date.

Well that's good news the felonies got dropped. Did the judge just throw them out or are they dropping them in return for pleading guilty to the misdemeanors?

I haven't been to court yet. But my attorney has talked to the DA.

Attorney talks to DA and works out a plea=====Go to court, DA takes deal before judge. And hopefully the judge accepts. He usually does, but not always.

I know.I"ve been arrested many of times. Been to prison twice. I've never seen any shit like that before. Hell, back in my hometown, when the jail was full, they made people sleep on the floor. Seen it with my own eyes a few times. But whatever the reason, I'm so so so glad it worked out this way.
I made a thread like this before, same thing happened to me except he never said he would call me back, he just said it was a warning, he left my 1000w light my carbon filter my my tent he left everything up and just took my plants... something tells me these cops are just making new additions into there gardens
