Thats BULLSHIT!!!! My screen is still pasted w/the fukin ads! First I was told "get Firefox, its free, that'll work", NOT! Then, "Elite membership means no ads", NOT!!!but you dont see the damn ads.... at all; that was worth it for me

I use blzn 07 and I don't have any adds, or maybe I have an add blocker. I get really confused about this add bitching, because there aren't any on my screen.

key word there 'supposed to'.... i too remember when rep actually meant that you knew how to grow some pot, and were helpful to other members..... now its just a damn popularity contest...

I don't really have any qualms about the rep system on here.Ok so I finally started giving rep after like 500 posts, so now im addicted. Problem is when i want to give someone rep, but have recently rep'd them in a different thread. I think this function should be limited to 5 or 3.
I hope others feel the same way.
It's like Fdd and GoGrow were talking about, it really used to be there to +rep people who knew their shit about growing some fire ganja and it really seems it has turned into more of a popularity contest.
Also, I'm glad they took the -rep away from those who aren't elite (which I still need to do, once I got the cash flow) because I had heard people were going back and forth neg repping each other because of stupid arguments they got into and treating it like a high school cat fight.
Since I don't grow I gotta find ways to contribute to the site and earn the reputation for being a valuable member. As we speak, I'm working on a letter to NORML and other Pro-Marijuana Organizations to try and get those guys to possibly hold some form of "black tie" affair / fundraiser to help gain some national attention on the legalization of cannabis.
Eventually, I look to enlist my fellow rollituppers and really get the ball rolling on this thing.
Anyways, guess the point is, it's really all what you give back here on the site. You gotta earn the reputation, and can't expect it to just be handed out to you for being "cool".
Speaking of fighting for causes, if you haven't already, y'all need to go to Stoney McFried's petition and sign it and help her out to get the signatures needed:

the rep system was changed to its curent system after a few members abused it.
they were just giving rep back and forth messed up the whole rep system. it was like a game to themm made it hard to belive some ones advice after that. those of you that abused it you know who you are. some just gave out neg rep because they could.

Dude, I just looked @ the +Rep that I have gotten, and it seems like (wat I can see of it n-e way), almost all of it was fer bein helpful. I dont have a prob w/that. I jus think sometimes there are certain ppl that are MORE helpful than others and @ times, its difficult to find 50 ppl, to place between the helpful things that these MORE helpful ppl post.
