I have Cured Light Burn Using Aloe Vera.

I'm new. My plant is 5 days old and beautiful. I would share pictures but using my crappy smart phone and its time to upgrade to a better one. When I try to post pictures it freaks out but after I post I will try again so it doesn't mess up the post I'm writing in, it likes to do that.

So I left my 10 watt 6500k cfl 3 inches above my baby last night before bed and I noticed its leaves were almost standing straight up but still had an inch or so between them and the light woke up to find one of the leaves have been slightly burned. Very small burn and looks like I caught it very soon. I freaked even though it doesn't look like a big deal at all and I also have aloe vera plants and I like to use them for everything so I put some aloe on the burn and here we are 4 hours later and green is fading into the yellow burn and the burn has became smaller.

Being new I don't expect anyone to really take my word for this until I get before and after photos but I just wanted to share the good news that I have made my light burn a lot better. The burn isn't gone but it is much smaller now and green has taken over what was yellow earlier.

I don't know if the aloe it self will cause any harm but so far I only see it getting better. If something happens because of the aloe I will be sure to post it on here. Now going to post this and try to add photos.

I can't post photos using this damn phone so maybe when my boyfriend gets home from work with his brand new bionic droid I can try again. I'm sorry.

It did improve to a point but then nomore. Still can't add photos boyfriend is texting on his phone while playing battlefield3. But it doesn't seem to have done any harm trying the aloe so it got a little better then stopped there. My lil baby plant is super cute. Next week we will be setting up an awesome 3 foot wide and long 5 feet tall grow tent for me. This is going to be fun.

Its burn is very small maybe the size of this upper case O but it was double that and greened back up with the aloe around the O's edges. May not help much or at all but it made me feel better and take care of my babys burn like I would of taken care of mine. The healing power of aloe vera. 2nd best plant to have around.

My plant popped out of the dirt on the 22nd so its 5 days old. The first set of "true leaves" are an inch and a half long and the 2nd set are half an inch long with a 3rd set barely poking up out of the center. My plant stands at 3 1/2 inches tall and other than the light being too close while I slept and burning the tip of a leaf it looks beautiful. I wish I could post pictures. I'm a proud mommy and wanna show it off. I'm new here but once my tent is set up I will have to figure out how to get pictures on here and show you how impressive. My dear boyfriend is gonna spend boo koos on me in a lil under a week cause he loves me and I love pot <3

Hey that sounds like a really good idea! I foliar feed with liquid kelp and aloe gel and have had really good results. I use fresh aloe because the aloe in stores contains preservatives I think.

.......... very interesting... I´m thinking of trying aloe and aspirin... as a foliar feed... the aspirin water for plants experiment sounded really good! (google: aspirin water for plants).........
