I'm new. My plant is 5 days old and beautiful. I would share pictures but using my crappy smart phone and its time to upgrade to a better one. When I try to post pictures it freaks out but after I post I will try again so it doesn't mess up the post I'm writing in, it likes to do that.
So I left my 10 watt 6500k cfl 3 inches above my baby last night before bed and I noticed its leaves were almost standing straight up but still had an inch or so between them and the light woke up to find one of the leaves have been slightly burned. Very small burn and looks like I caught it very soon. I freaked even though it doesn't look like a big deal at all and I also have aloe vera plants and I like to use them for everything so I put some aloe on the burn and here we are 4 hours later and green is fading into the yellow burn and the burn has became smaller.
Being new I don't expect anyone to really take my word for this until I get before and after photos but I just wanted to share the good news that I have made my light burn a lot better. The burn isn't gone but it is much smaller now and green has taken over what was yellow earlier.
I don't know if the aloe it self will cause any harm but so far I only see it getting better. If something happens because of the aloe I will be sure to post it on here. Now going to post this and try to add photos.
