I wanted to try out the "DIY" odor bucket idea and this is what I came up with. (I will mention thanks to sparkafire & videoman for the original diy threads that gave me the idea)
If I recieve good feedback on these I may try to market them so let me know your thoughts.
SPECS:
-5 gallon reservoir
-dual quick-releasing 6" flanges
-made entirely of clear 1/4" cell cast acrylic
I know some of you will argue this method of odor control but here are some reasons I think it is beneficial.
-Cheaper initial cost and running cost then traditional filters
-It doesn't restrict air flow like a carbon filter does therefore requiring a smaller fan (smaller fan = smaller elec. bill)
-It can be used many different ways:
-When using it with an air pump and air-stone there is a number of products you can mix with the water such as pine-sol, fabreze, ONA, hunters scent killer, fresh cut and squeezed lemons, etc. (chemicals will not be harmful to you or your plants because the air is being exhausted outside)
-The strength is adjustable by how much you dilute it so whether you have 1 plant or 10 plants you can customize the mix to suit you.
-It can also be used with water absorbing crystal
