As far as the word "bulk", yea you're right, I was wrong. You want a cookie? I'm glad I could make you giggle a bit. I realize this probably isn't one of the biggest orders they've ever seen..it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. But who doesn't like saving an extra buck or two? Isn't the whole idea behind DIY's to save money? I'm sorry that I was just trying to save an extra buck of two lol. And where did I state that I wanted things to be pre-built? Maybe you should re-read or stay of my threads if you're going to be insulting.

I agree and disagree. On the side I sell used, decommissioned MacBooks missing some vital (but easy to replace) hardware. Sales are final and its up to the buyer to figure out how to fill in the blanks to have themselves a fully functioning machine. I'd rather not sell to anyone who doesn't know what they're doing let alone even understand how to look for the information needed to know what they're doing. But as I mentioned, it's a side venture and a lost sale means nothing to me. That's why I mentioned HLG - they seem very willing to help. Additionally their DIY kits don't require any additional purchases or knowledge (well super basic). From a consumer's perspective, Chilled is lacking in that department, no question.

I don't want to put his name on here because 1) This could have been avoided had I not asked about price. 2) Maybe he was just having a bad day. 3) Maybe I actually seemed really retarded lol. But, if the kit doesn't have the required materials to actually hang the lights, is it so wrong of me to ask what additional parts I would need? What if I buy this kit and i'm required to solder some wires? Am I just SOL? I was told that it looks like I need to do more saving and come back when I've done more research haha. Despite asking a stupid question, I still feel kinda disrespected and belittled.

Haha this really sucks because I wanted to stay loyal with this company and rock their products throughout my grows. Does anyone know of other new high quality led companies? I will be basing my grows off their lights and products via youtube and forums. I'm not looking for sponsorship's or discounts or anything(well atleast from the LED companies), I just think I have a retarded version of OCD and would only like to stick with one company.. I've been like this with everything lol. I'm actually hoping that by using a newer tech. in grow LED's, this will help me build a viewer/fan base on Youtube. I know this is a very hard thing to do but i'm already in the process of buying everything I need haha(cameras, mic's, etc). I also think this would help in the marketing aspect of newer upcoming companies! Many people seemed to be interested in ChilLed's tech but are hesistant to buy because they haven't seen any results or yields. Could anyone out there steer me in the right direction to a new and upcoming high quality LED company?

Your comparing 2 totally different products. Imo they saved themselves a return they didn't lose a sale if you aren't able to diy...

The op clearly didn't watch the very well made videos that growmau5 did to explain everything. I'm sure he was annoyed to get asked stupid questions that have already been very clearly answered in the video. I also find it funny that this guy wants a discount but also doesn't want to order parts from 2 different places I don't think he realizes that if rapid led shipped everything to chilled so they could have everything it would increase cost because of extra shipping.

This doesnt sound right, I've dealt with Mike and others there for over 8 years and they've always had the best service. There's always 2 sides to every story and I've seen vendors come into a few threads to correct a few OPs.

Just to clear something up. There already is a 10% discount for first time orders from RapidLed which is at the top of the website, you didnt think this was enough and asked for a larger one?

Rapidled also sells premade fixtures and Diy kits and components. Why not just look at buying a kit which already comes with everything. Not a premade fixture. It's still kinda diy and cheaper than a built one.

The problem is his problem is stupid it's like going to in n out an being mad that won't make you a big mac then writing a whole paragraph about how terrible in n out is because they made you feel stupid about trying to order a big mac

lol I understand you guys support this company. Not once have I said that this company sucks or its products are bad. The title specifically states that I'm bummed because I wanted to go this route...But, i'm not gonna continue to repeat myself so think what you want and have a blessed day!

Btw @Ryante55, I don't think major blazer is trying to compare products...he's comparing customer service and explaining why customer service can be helpful to the customer and the company itself. And if there was an additional video that shows how to upgrade the current 300w DIY kit by adding the 2x100w Logic pucks then I missed it. Sorry buddy. But if you could post a link to this I would greatly appreciate it. Hope your day gets better, my intentions here aren't to offend anybody. You should go burn one and relax a bit.

Thank you for this, I was unaware of the 10% discount on the RapidLed website. Most of my research and interest has been with ChilLed and their website. I've actually considered RapidLed and wanted to go this route in the past(with the GrowMau5 100w pucks). After a bit of research, I narrowed it down to RapidLed and ChilLed. Not only did the tech seem great, but the reviews about the quality and customer service(of both companies) were great as well. I chose to go with ChilLed because of the spectrum. That and the content on their website really got me interested! I've never had and still do not have any doubts in this company or its capabilities in all aspects. I respect their products and the tech they've made for the growing LED community. The root of my problem doesn't come from the DIY procedure itself but rather the upgrade to the 2xlogic pucks. As new as I am, I don't have anything to strip wires, connect wires, tie wires together, etc. These were the materials I was curious about and was wondering what little stuff I would need to complete this upgrade. Hell, being a college student, I only have the basic Philips and flat head screw drivers and thats about it.

the logic pucks have molex connectors on them. so you would use 18-24AWG solid core wire and strip 8mm off. there is a guide on the puck itself that shows you how much to strip. and then you push the wire into the molex connector. no soldering. these are usually called "solderless connectors", "poke-in connectivity", "push-in connectivity", etc.

I couldn't find the puck video they may have had to take it down youtube has been cracking down on weed videos. Its just a positive and negative you might have to solder if you can't solder an don't want to learn stick to the kits.

Thank you. Now I know not to buy anything to solder wires with. I've used these types of connectors before and they're pretty simple. If i'm trying to connect 2x100w pucks to a single driver than how many on these connector would I need? I don't see how these are stupid questions?

So if there's no definite answer on the web or the forums...and its a "stupid question" to ask customer service.. Then what should I have done? Just order and keep my fingers crossed? Order it and return it once I receive the package and realize I don't have the proper tools to build the fixture? I've been looking at the growmau pucks for a while now. If videos were uploaded and taken down then it's been a while...atleast not within this past month because I haven't been able to find much on these.

They are just really basic questions you could figure out yourself. just buy a box of connectors you will probably have enough if you don't have enough buy a 2nd box.
