You know what is particularly telling about this thread?
It is that nobody made any effort at all to address the points I raised in the OP. Oh, people tried to change the subject and raise straw man arguments and all the typical old saws. But, nobody even came close to addressing what rational, moral people would do if faced with the same choices that the Palestinians have been during the last 40 years.
Nobody even took the time to learn the actual history of the conflict much less consider what would have been the right thing, or smart thing to do vs what the Arabs chose to do. That is what the OP is about. It is about the choices the Arabs have made from before Israel became a state to present day.
I see this thread as proof that most people don't really need to know or care about the facts or the truth of the matter. They are perfectly content to dig in their heels and toe the party line or to jump on anything that is anti Jewish.
The only question I ever have when hearing people who are highly critical of Israel is whether or not they fall into the former category or the latter one.
