And since I have no kids in school I should be able to opt-out of paying $2500 a year to the school system. I'm with you screw those kids. If I get a waiter or waitress from now on screw them. Get a real job. Zero tips from me. Salvation army? Fickem.

I'm more worried about the future than disappointed, I don't have to live in the place, but we will feel the effects of what amounts to a cold civil war. I don't mean to be divisive, but liberalism and fascism cannot co exist, one or the other must triumph in the end. It will be either a liberal democracy and hope for the future or fascism with certain death and destitution. In Russia Putin has his base too and it is made up of largely the same kinds of people as Trump's, only with a loyal base minority and no democratic institutions or traditions, you can control a sizable majority with little real support, provided you can maintain power.

I don't know, I am pretty sure almost everyone knew this was going to take a while to see how it wound up.

The foreign propaganda warfare for Trump's benefit has had 6 years at least of a running start and the power of the biggest megaphone on the planet with Trump wielding it.

It was always going to be extremely tight. Ive been screaming about the latino vote for the entire time I have been back because of the brainwashing that I have personally witnessed occurring.

Cults suck. Brainwashing sucks.

And yes, if you need it to be said, you are lying about what the governor of Virginia said, by taking a edited quote and mangling it into propaganda to scare vulnerable people into believing your lies. We will see when the popular vote comes in, damn near the whole country voted, so there is no excuse for this moral failure other than racism and bigotry being used as a scape goat by tens of millions for their own personal economic and educational failures. You have in effect a mass social pathology as people's unconscious conditioning clash with their common sense, covid and Trump revealed the starkness of the social situation in America and it is frightening.

Careful management of the situation is required if Joe wins, he will have to be a middle of the road president for all Americans and a guide to their better angels. Only those things that have super majority or a large majority support can move forward, senate control is crucial for any progress though. Fortunately this list of things include many pressing problems like police and justice reform, election reform and voting rights, but senate control is required for any movement forward. Mitch will actively try to destroy any democratic presidency, the attitude will not be to support the president as the democrats tried in the beginning with Trump, it will be a tea party repeat of Obama.
