People come here bash the shit out of things and ask for specs for what reason? You don't seem to care for the lights so why ask?no I never got an answer, stop claiming that I did.
Whats the umol/joules or PPF / watt for the amare?

At a minimum the se450 produces the same as go green 6 cob lights. A minimum! Go bash them
It's how they are driven that's what makes them different. When ran hard lowers efficiency. The higher the efficiency the higher the price. So go green, pacific, tasty won't be recommended either? I'm new to cobs so I'm learning. I assumed top bin Cree 3070 were all the same regardless of the name plate.
Abiqua might be in a pissy mood but he's right.
Ppf/w , umol/j is what counts on a grow fixture........tell Victor to break out that info.
If he actually has tested them in an integrating sphere as stated earlier, he has the #s.....No fighting necessary!![]()

Have no issues with my tasty led lights. New growth within 45 minutes of install

3. nice light!
so what you said was???
nope1. not same victor
nope2. power supply is not efficient
nope3. its not a nice light
i think you have an over defensive problem......
That's what I understood, they should all be very similar. If one is 2-3 % less efficient I couldn't care less if it suited my needs better. This is how it all started btw. I realized Victor wasn't a salesman looking for my money either. He offered assistance and did it with a smile. In my situation I would purchase his lights no matter the cost. Which I do believe are priced very well. After th 4/20 sale I beat the price of all the other companies offering similar lights. The best coverage, customer service and warranty. Then add in all the other features like top bin cree monochromes and uv.
What's fucked up is my order is large and delayed a little. I just offered him more money to divide the shipments and send it out partially. I was willing to pay double the shipping. His reply " it's not about the money" the next hour I got a shipping notification. What ever he strings he pulled he did it to help.
Case settled. I'm thrilled to death
i read that thanks ...my comment was mostly humour..sorry
i have my own cob lights..
$$/w is not what i look at.....
2."is the power supply efficient?"<---------------
3.nice lights..!
Thank you for being civil. Thanks for telling me about thatThis I do not have. I seen this once before but I really didn't look at that deep into it as my space is small and not some big warehouse.
Does every company use this? If they are using the same high end cree lights and more or less same driver wouldnt they all be near the same besides at what efficiencity that they are being ran at?
47% efficiency @~50w per COB(500w from wall)
I was following a few using this, they are really nice design on them. I almost bought 2 of them to fill some gaps on the sided of my lights. Just very easy to put in with other square units.

I would expect this from other companies but not Amarethe variance in efficiency from gogreen, tasty, plc, amare and fluence can be quite large, potentially as high as 40% deviation. Different bins, different drivers, different currents and different cooling systems each alone can easily lead to a 10% deviation. so if I am a greedy cost cutting mfg, I can choose the lowest bin (-10%), use a cheap driver (-10%), run at a high current (-10%) and skimp on heatsinks (-10%).
None of the cob fixture manufacturers have tested in a sphere yet? not that I'm aware of or they are not telling..........It is expensive
The Swiss made leo led top bin cxb 3070 (3500/5000k)panel claims 2.5ppf/w, which is very good and the "math" backs it up. BUT i want proof and emailed them with no answer yet(month ago) if the #s came from a sphere or flat plane avg. bullshit?
http://www.leoledgrow.us/en/models
secondary lenses!/reflectors/diffusers/drivers/cooling! used will have an impact on the #s ,apart from the same top bin diodes.
fluence spyder x, nextlight mega have been tested properly and are just over 2umol/j...

Also what light are you using atm?
i have 3@ 200w 4 cree 3590 3500k active cooled bars,
i really like being able to position each cob directly over a plant
of course i have hps too..ididn't start growing yesterday
i have used blackstar 220's[another victor..lol] for veg for years..great until half the circuit board goes
i have 2 @250 w 6 bridgelux high bays cobn lights each powered at 42 w each..they veg like crazy
i bought a spectrumking early lastyear ..i just took the reflector off it
its actually making decent looking buds..we will see..too [expensive]
i like tasty, and plc..riu homies!
