of the New Testament were written by apostles or other disciples of Jesus Christ. Matthew the apostle wrote a gospel. John the apostle wrote a gospel, three epistles and Revelation. Just because you want it to be true does not make the orthodox Xian claims of authorship to be true.

Scholars say that the authors of the New Testament gospels quite clearly had not met Jesus. The authors of Matthew and Luke relied on Mark and the hypothetical 'Q' document for their knowledge of the life and message of Jesus, while the author of John appears to have relied on Luke and, to some extent, Mark. It is clear, in turn, that the author of Mark was unfamiliar with Palestinian geography and local culture, and could never have met Jesus.

The Epistles of James, Peter, John and Jude are clearly pseudonymous and were written by church leaders who had no personal acquaintance with Jesus or his disciples.

I'm not a Christian... And the holy books contradict themselves without the help of other books from the other religions...

Judaism precedes Christianity which then leads on to the Islamic faith that accepts Jesus as a prophet...

my problem with that would be why would this allmighty god send out different prophets with different storys , only one can be telling the truth , and the quran says to live and act completely different than the bible does , so why is that ?
lets imagine for one crazy moment it was true there is one god , that would mean millions of people are destined for hell simply because they are following a different interpretation of this one gods demands .that would be massively unfair .it would mean a muslim suicide bomber , would go straight to hell for killing a room full of christians , thinking he was actually killing infedils and going to heaven lol i cant even get my head around how stupid all of it is lol this one all knowing god has (depending on what land mass you were happend to be born on ) millions of different people all following completely different rules , why doesnt he sort that crazy mess out ?

So, the tower of Babel. As soon as we collaspe the probablity of Omni, we ascribe our meger human thought to IT and call it Diety.

Once we start discribing the un-discribable, we by difintion are no longer talking about IT. We are discribing in the blind, without concept. So, don't get confused with all the discription and don't think the Giant Space Alien or whatever, if any, is in any mood or even has the will to sort us out.

We have the will, remember? Most if not all Religion today has swerved into a fate touting, dice rolling stance. Inasha Allah. In God hands. God's will be done.

We must first know ourselves, to possibly understand how that could be in God's image. Or not.

i love how modern religious people are now completely swerving and dodging away from the traditional stance religious people took , now that the old ways of following gods word from the bible quaran etc have been ripped apart and completely flawed by criticaly thinking people and people have become more knowlegdable about the world and how things work , the desperate die hards now find ways to put themselves back into a position were they think they can dismiss the things that prove them wrong , like how they now say 'well the bible isnt to be taken literally ' or 'religion is open to interpretation ' the list goes on and on .
its that same old argument , i could say i have a pet dragon , and then when asked why cant they see it , i say its invisible , they say why cant i touch it , i say it moves out of the way , they say why cant i comunicate with it , i say , it only comunicates through thoughts etc etc etc its a never ending argument and its how religion works and its how religion dodges the blatently obvious flaws it has .
