yeah u still need to hide it limiting your possibilities and having to invest extra money & care. thats why they do it this way, they still wanna punish black markets producers but not the customers of said field.
Never tell them anything. Let them do their work the "hard" way. I walked from charges on an outdoor grow. The cops got the work of taking it down . I got the 2 lbs of tops the night before...
And thank them for their time when you walk free out the door...

Why lie about shit like this ? Starting to doubt this whole thing even happened. Your neighbor smells a gas leak, they (the gas company and a cop) bust into your house, dont find said leak .. but you said work was done .. the gas company has tools they take around that help them locate leaks, they would have been all over your house befor they even thought about entering ... so if the leak wasnt from your house .. and was outside .. again bullshit .. take this shit to reddit r/microgrowery so you can get your upvotes.
Things have been fine, nothing was taken. I tore down my grow just to be safe but haven't had any visits from the cops or anyone else.
the $1200 has to do with them not being in my place to steal anything, because they didn't steal anything, including a bunch of cash that was just lying around. I guess it is a little weird to leave cash lying around but I literally do it all the time cause I play poker 2-3 times a week and just drop the money on the table when I come home. I'm not sure why anyone thinks I'm lying about this, like what would I stand to gain?
They did find a leak, they dug up my sidewalk and everything.

Cause here is the thing. The Gas company guy would have found the leak in the sidewalk and then fixed it. There would BE NO REASON to go into your house. AT ALL ... they would have scoped the outside out first with detection tools. like from the street to your meter .. then from your meter to where it enters your house. Since you said it was under the sidewalk .. thats city then when it comes to gas .. again no reason to enter your house.

It's also possible the cops never went past the front door. They are only there to protect the gas crew from an upset homeower who chose not to answer the door, then goes thermal when someone enters.
Once they saw nobody was home, they probably just went back to their cruiser and watched porn.

Not totally true. I admit to not knowing all the parameters for the Gas company entering your house, but they can.
If there's a leak, or work on a line, where service is interrupted, they will canvas the area to make sure all the pilots are lit. If you are not there, they get a cop and pick a door, then go thru it. The gas company paid the homeowner to pay me, to install a new door. There were no pilots out either.
You got natural gas, realize there is always a possibility this could happen.

I'm guessing this is the case. My neighbor was home but asleep and was complaining that he woke up to hear them going at his lock, and when he looked out the window he couldn't see any cops (he was talking about how he coulda shot the locksmith thinking the locksmith was a criminal, because he is a crazy old man), but when he opened the door they were hanging out outside.
