Hubert know were can i get some of the stuff to keep animals and bugs away? would local stores have these things or would i have to do it through the internet

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'chemical ferts' I'm assuming you mean inorganic ferts...if so then by all means fert away. If you mean using raw salt ferts, again by all means...as long as you know what you're doing with them.

It sounds like it's not going to do very well inside, so outside indeed seems a better option. It will take some time to reveg, and you do run the risk of stressing it into a hermie...but it sounds as if you won't get much out of it inside.

I'd imagine greenhouses/nurserys would have Neem Oil (for bugs) and bone and/or blood meal is available at most any garden center. Of course you could get really ambitious and put up some chicken wire around the plants too, but that's more for the extreme cases.

So was looking at my plants that i put outside and they look great but for one thing i noticed with one of them. the stem or it was all purpple and i have never seen this before. it that ok or does it need something
 
purple stems r normal usually unless the leaves start lookin funny ur good ive had many plants that just naturally turn purple.....although im not the master grower who u address the question but its late, im stoned, and i no the answer!!

I always read that this was due to cold temps.

In my experience both of them are right. I too have had plants with purple stems but no visible problems, so I didn't view it as a problem. Cold temps (usually night temps) can also be responsible for 'purpling' your plant. But like I say there are alot of possible causes, I've found that UVB lights purpled my plants pretty intensly last grow. And then there are the slew of nutrient deficiencies that are possible, but if everything else is 'normal' looking then it's unlikely. Among others Nitrogen defieciency will often show purple stems and yellow leaves...if you're leaves start yellowing you could add some worm castings for additional Nitrogen.
 
Hubert my 2 plants are 9 days into flowering, both female I have LST them since they were young and still am.

I am using MG bloom booster, fed them yesterday for the first time, is this to soon?? how often should i feed them?? im using 1/4 rec. strenth right now, should I keep going up until I reach full strenth??

Also because Ive LST both plants my one is getting very bushy is this a concern?? dont know how to prune or if I should...

What does Bloom Booster comprise of exactly? I searched it to try and get a better idea but it seems difficult to get ratios, or a guaranteed analysis. I'm guessing it's like a bloom fortifier (?) in that case it's ratios may be something like 0-5-3 (or something like that) it's probably a bit soon for that IMO. On the other hand it could be something like CarboLoad which is packed full of helpfull proteins and what have you...it's also very similar to, and alot more expensive than Molasses. If that's the case you can add it whenever you want, but stuff like that is usually expensive. I like the fact that you started at low dosage though, that is always the safest way to go :mrgreen:

As for your LST I'm not sure what you mean....Are you worried about the secondary budsites? Surely the crowns will have enough room to grow, and if it is the secondary (undergrowth) buds you're concerned with...LST them away from eachother, spread it out more :mrgreen:

Sorry about that I should have put the ratio in, its 15-30-15, plus other macro nutes. As far as the LST goes I just want a nice even canopy, am I harming anything by still LST in the flowering state??

Okay that seems fine to add, I wouldn't use it much past week 4 or 5 though...it's pretty high in Nitrogen for flower IMO.

You're not harming anything by LSTing them in flower, in fact alot of people only LST in flower. You're canopy will even back out even if you do stretch it out now, or you can just tuck the leaves under braches. The plant will stretch for the first few weeks...so it may still spread itself out for you.

Hiya hubert, I have a slight lighting problem. was using 400w mh to veg started flowering before I recived the hps got the hps and it was defective new one is on the way. Will it harm the bud's to leave the mh on 12/12 untill the hps gets here? Might be the end of the week.

I don't know of any products off the top of my head, but for now look for NPK ratios of like 1-2-2 (remember ratios can be multiplied) or 1-3-3. Basically what you want to do is decrease the Nitrogen uptake while increasing Phosphorus and Potassium uptakes. Later on in flower (like the last few weeks before flushing) you can use something like 0-3-2 or 0-2-1.

That will be fine, in fact some growers will flower for the first few weeks with MH to help reduce stretch...I have never done that personally so I can't tell you whether or not that really works, but either way you'll be fine with the MH in there. Some growers will leave their MH in the flower room along with the HPS...again I have not tried that, but some seem to think it's lends a more balanced spectrum. Some growers also leave them in there for the miniscule amounts of UVB light they give off, which is completely inefficient as 1 13w UVB CFL would put out more UVB than a 400wMH.
 
Hey Hubert

Lets see if your can help me with this one, so my plants are about 2 months and have been out side for about 2 weeks. know i have them in 3 different locations so no ones find them. the first one is fine its right next to a stream so it gets the water it needs and the sun is almost perfect. know the second one is still next to a stream but like 200 ft or so away from the other one. know the stream is slow and doesnt run that far inland but yet get a lot of sun. they look fine but there flopping over so i stuck a stick and tied them to the sticks. the third one is the problem there in great soil and have running water for them but the sun well it seems to change cause every time i go out at the same time its seems that it never seem to get sun on them. know i dont know were to transfer them know or wait and see how they do? there are about 12 inches with 7 leave and still going if i have to ransfer then is ther going to be a risk that it might die?

If you can help me out

Well I've been unexpectedly away for a while...sorry to leave you hanging fmfsmoke, I would have suggested transplanting but I'm sure you figured it all out.

So anyway...I'm back now, and I'm itchin'to help :mrgreen: So fill me in on what's happening with all these grows you've all mentioned.
 
Hey Hubert I was wondering what you would you suggest building a bud dryer or should I let it happen the old fashion way. Do you think there will be a difference in quality?
