not sure if this has been mentioned since i only read the first page but put a layer of sand on your dirt...
let your soil dry out between watering. the larvae need moist soil to survive. i often let my plants wilt between watering. my gnat problems has been gone for years now.
you are talking about white sand you can buy at hobby shopsmmm this or theres this microscopic glass/ sandy stuff somebody else on here probly knows what im talkin about, it literally cuts the bastards up as the crawl around, drying out is very important too
