good point, yea its not so black and white, its a very confusing, complicated subject, that I'm not sure we should even try and undertake.
I'm even consused about near deth expieriences, I know a few people who have had them, but I've done alot of reading that explains why, and how it happens, but than theirs things like the red shoe that always make you question what you learn.

I think there are some religions that do. Maybe you're speaking more specifically of Abrahamic religions? I have a friend, Russian Jewish heritage, and she has told me some stories..! I guess Jews can be just as fanatical, even if they don't declare themselves Zionists.

I agree, though I would have said "incorrect", or "incomplete". What did the human animal do prior to the existence of religion? Did we not make war upon each other? Why, of COURSE we did. We will always make war upon each other, and will find any excuse or reason that suits us. Plain and simple. People talk about how religion has caused more misery and death and wars in history, blahblahblah, but have little to back that up. Not to mention that when one uses the term "history", they're limiting themselves not to humans' time on earth as H. sapiens, but to the time that we've written about it. Then, there's that whole issue of who writes the history, isn't there? Oh my, rather fraught, rather fraught.

I despise religious people.. I think all religions are good when disected and concentrated down to what they were meant to be.. guide lines.. not rules.. take a peice from here and a peice from there and before you know it you realise that it's all about being as good a person as you can possibly be.. never hurt anyone that doesnt make you hurt them (self-defense) , don't be greedy, and help out your fellow man.. whats so hard to understand about those basic rules? That's all religion is..

God and allah are merely tools to keep people in order.. what's easier to tell a child, don't hurt the dog cause I fuckin said so, or because god wouldnt like it and he gave you life.. is that the way you re-pay him for all he gave you?

what would happen if all those god-loving church going obssesed people realised that there's nothing? They wouldnt have anything to keep them in line.. those people need god.. something to keep them from being the unibomber...

Just think if there was nothing but the law to say you shouldnt take another's life... I'm sure more people would be willing to kill another for personal gain or just because they pissed 'em off..

all i'm saying is don't hate on it.. it serves a purpose and you should dive deeper into what the image of religion and god really represents.. it's stability for some people.. and i'm all for that.. whatever it take's to keep human's in-line is ok with me.. when you try to take that away from them, you leave them with nothing.. Weither you agree or dis-agree, you have to look beyond what they say, and look at what it does for them.. same with you smoking pot... Whatever it take's.. just don't hate it.. try to understand it...
