MiracleGro's organic choice shouldn't be too bad if you add 40% perlite. It's the only one I would consider. The others are either too hot with nutrients, or contain vermiculate "moisture control" which is typically unwanted unless you grow under the radiant heat of HID.
I think the lack of perlite in that soil contributes to the overwatering symptoms people are seeing. I think your foliar feeding has created the leaf condition you see now.
I used to use mg exclusively. They are fine. They are on the hot side.
The key to using their products is keeping it on the dry side. The more you water, the more they burn.
I actually never had that many problems from it. It is more a cannabis community thing about not using mg.
They have pallet after pallet at the box store for a reason. All the years I used it, I planted everything from flowers to vegetables. Everything grew in it just fine.
As far as hot soil, it is not a problem. Maybe with an auto it would be.
Every year I top my vegetable garden off with manure, alfalfa, garden tone, and a few other things. Most my plants love it. My beans don't. They look like crap and burn. They snap right out of it and take off.
The same will happen with cannabis. If it sprouted in hot soil and made it to a foot tall, it is OK. If it didn't kill the seedling it won't kill the bigger plant.
see thats the thing the mg i got was organic it said but moisture control and i didn't add any perlite ..done with that goon use ffof or coast of main bar harbor with 30 percent perlite added
The moisture control is good as is. It controls against over and under water.
I have some house plants in it. Water runs right through it. It stays moist though. I quit buying mg products. I did grow one auto in a bag of it. It loved it.
