I am truly sorry to hear about the accident which destroyed your taste buds...
The "butt" ... was merely a spelling correction...
The chemical properties of thc make it an anti nausea drug...yea if you feel sick and smoke some weed you DO throw up straight after...but for the next 4 hours you dont feel sick at all...and if you eat when you first feel ok, by the time the 4 hours has worn off you have just digested nutrients...
I had a choice...my fiancee could go into hospital on a drip and pumping food into her..(shes vomiting all day if she doesn't smoke weed) so she would be malnourished and dehydrated. However a few bongs and she can eat all day.
Its true theres very little true research on the medical effects of cannabis right now, but there IS research being done finally. They have recently observed that in clinical trials cannabis was AS effective as the leading anti psychotic pharmaceutical.
Its like opium. There's medical uses for it..but doctors don't prescribe patients to grow their own...and wouldn't ask them to self medicate with it if they did! MJ is at a disadvantage i guess, as you cant overdose on it people don't take it seriously as a drug. Before I smoked it I didn't even believe it could really do anything to you...obviously now I know different haha.
Truth is you are absolutely right about kids "needing" to grow up thinking they are rebellious for smoking weed, because they will rebel and do SOMETHING. And as mentioned...at least you cant od on weed. I do think though, it may fall into our hands now to properly educate our children. Explain to them while they are young about the different drugs, and how mj is natural and the others are bad chemicals etc. My parents grew and smoked my whole young life, and never hid it and I had no interest in trying it as i had seen them smoke it then just act "normal".
I would rather my child smoked mj than cigarettes, alcohol or any other drug. As you say though, it must be seen as a "ritual" something to prove to themselves they are able to do what the older generation do...Even finding and buying that first bag is part of the experience...I was ruined as when I decided to try it I had unlimited access and permission...I feel like I missed a whole fun time of trying to hide it..lol
I do only agree with that one point in your post..there HAS been scientific proof of medical use...as an expectorant, anti nausea, anti glaucoma, good for chrons disease..it has a range of medical use..yes most of the people on it just wanna get high and im splitting hairs, but you are being damaging to marijuana also by saying it has NO purpose. It does just not the way we are using it right now. Give it some time to be researched now its legal.
THEY SHOULD DEFINITELY CHANGE THE BILLBOARDS. Your original complaint is true. Just some of your facts are a bit "1980s propaganda". I think caregivers do care though...I mean yea they are selling a product, but they do provide a service too...some may be in it for the money...if i could do it legally I would LOVE to grow the best legal weed i could. I would do it for the love of growing the plant more than the money. The money is a necessary evil here unfortunately...
