Well, I know this was not directed at me, but . . . don't you think EVERYONE should be treated with a little respect? Like, uh, those children born into poverty--those whose mothers did not choose abortion, like so many conservatives advocate would approve of? Shouldn't we have enough sense to realize that if we provide the necessary help to get them out of poverty, we'll all be better off?
You mean like that? Or do you mean it's okay to call me Eva Braun, Goebbels, and liken me to Hitler, but we must all treat/speak of our politicians with the utmost of respect?
For me, calling anyone the c-word is a no-no, but Ms. Palin put herself into the public lime light, and it is she who made remarks that were half-truths, designed to mislead people. So? While I don't approve of anyone calling her the c-word (bubble??? tsk tsk

), Ms. Palin ought to be a big enough gal to know that she would be called all sorts of names, etc.
Now, a question for you, Brutal. If you are so concerned about taxes, and from what I gather, it looks like you think all taxes are immoral and illegal, how are we supposed to fund all this stuff that we take for granted? Like highways? Bridges. Oh, a war in the Middle East that is costing us so much. Things like that. How should all that be funded? Should just abandon roads? Schools? Everything? Seriously. I'd like to know what you would advocate instead? Charity? Donations?
Regarding schools, I noticed you were once again griping about the time you spent studying other languages and ridiculing what many people understand is a pragmatic thing, that is, trying to comprehend other cultures . . . . Okay, so how would you have it? We should just go right for only vocational-type schools? And starting when? Kindergarten? Grade one? Two? When would this vocational training, completely bereft of any of the subjects you so detest, begin?
Taxes suck. We all agree on that. But how else are we supposed to do it?
I'm not really looking for any answers, and I'm too worn out from the fighting on this board and elsewhere. Just wanted to stick in my two cents.
