i especially like how rawn pawl's portfolio did magnitudes better than similar portfolios every year he was in congress, and then he retired right after they banned congressional insider trading.

i suppose that's one way to boost your portfolio. he's just missing the "practice what they preach" part.
Yep 64% in gold and silv3r.......edit that lol.........is this the part I am supposed go down you ron paul portfolio increased from insider trading road to nowhere? Looks a little fruity down that way think I will keep walking.

Why would people use FRNs when they can trade one of those for a shitload of Literary Diarrhea (is that redundant?) courtesy of LVMI and gang, and cover the entire living room, with enough tomes leftover for fireplace kindling and compost filler...

Maybe some papier mache artwork?

And don't forget the birdcages...

hypocrite: A person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings
Not hypocritical at all. My argument isn't based on intention; my constitutional philosophy is not based on the original intent of the framers. If you look at the writings of the framers, most of them are obviously opposed to and wary of the federal government printing paper currency. This is undeniable.

That said, they chose not to make this explicit in the constitution, leaving it ambiguous and prone to interpretation. This was a conscious choice by the convention and the reason I don't think you should infer intention either way from the convention's actions.

I think the constitution must evolve as the nation evolves. The original intent of the framers should be totally irrelevant in determining whether non-white people or women have constitutional rights; it should be irrelevant in many other questions as well.

Nice sources how many times have you slammed me in this thread for speaking without sources that I actually provided and even provided on more than one instance because you forgot?
What sources do you want? Everything I just said about the pre-Fed days has already been very thoroughly discussed and sourced in this thread. Your answer was generally to dismiss all of the data, if I'm recalling correctly, or to say that it was just an illusion. There's no argument to be had from that response; the sources and the data really don't matter to you.

Its edited.......seems many ppl are citing grammatical errors in lieu of confronting content lately.
i honestly couldn't understand what you were trying to say.

post edit, it seems like you are pointing out that rawn pawl's portfolio is unique, and i am not disputing that. i am pointing out that his portfolio outperformed similar portfolios by magnitudes when he was doing his congressional insider trading.

as soon as that was outlawed, he retired. and now his portfolio tanked when gold prices dropped 20% damn near overnight.

if i recall, i started off on that little tangent due to your "practice what you preach" remark. all you austrians idolize rawn pawl and worship at his altar, and he tries to frame himself as some kind of honest politician, and you guys eat it up. well, he's just like all the rest. he just used his position to boost his portfolio, that was all. he didn't get a damn thing done in his 20 years there besides fatten up his bottom line using inside info.

oh, and of course he got all you guys to send him money bombs for his joke of a campaign, and then he funneled those money bombs to his family before promptly retiring. everyone knew he couldn't win, even his own son who endorsed romney.

didn't stop him and rand from working with neo-nazis (again).

i was not surprised to learn that you were from the south, by the way.

[h=2]Section 10.[/h] No state shall enter into any treaty, alliance, or confederation; grant letters of marque and reprisal; coin money; emit bills of credit; make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts; pass any bill of attainder, ex post facto law, or law impairing the obligation of contracts, or grant any title of nobility.

I find it funny that you think that is ambiguous and prone to interpretation. I mean seriously, you don't understand that?

Hey bro who mentioned ron paul like who brought it up???? Damn isn't there a word for that? False Flag. You present the topic then present your case. You win your own argument congrats.

20% down from how many percent up?? Still way up partner, that's putting your money where your mouth is........Ron Paul was convicted or accused or outed for insider trading?? News to me but don't act like I was interested or cared.

Its severely hypocritical to write off an interpretation then present your own that has no basis in law....so if not based on intention your statement surely is your view of actual reality....so you argue the reality is the law and not changeable, I find that silly.

Leaving it ambiguous and prone to interpretation? Leaving it for the States and People respectively .....and the money comes from The People w/o the printing press....when The People decide what it means to them objectively according to intent and reality, according to the golden number, or nature, they will decide correctly left to their own devices and logic; nothing can stop it.

I am all for the constitution evolving but it won't if we continue to operate outside of it. Determining weather non white people or women have rights is written right in there and it was THE PEOPLE who made that happen based on the law of the land.....oh yes even Southern People....just as they will solve the monetary problem.
