Sugar cane is a 60% sativa /40% Indica so it's a sativa dominant strain.

That may be true, but even a strain that is slightly sativa dominant is going to throw phenos that lean indica. There will be many different expressions so it’s absolutely possible to have fat afghani looking fan leaves. Honestly the indica/sativa percentages don’t really mean anything. It’s a hybrid. Even if it was 80% indica and 20% sativas you’re still going to get some phenos that lean towards the sativa side
For genetix F1 F2 in stade of selection process and still considered unstable, Yeah everything could happen. But with genetics very stable, from serious breeders, like F20/F25, the prediction of the breeders according to the Sativa/Indica ratio is probably more accurate. Some dominant sativa have the Indica trait also, like the very famous old school Ak47 from serious Seeds. I would like to know the Inhouse standard in term of generation of their high price genetics.

Looks like a decent black Friday deal at NASC coming up for IHG. I already have too many seeds already but tempting.

Slightly disappointed thus far with inhouse, one seed won't deter me, I just had so much faith. The thing cracked and made that giant retard tap root, helmet wouldn't come off, shriveled away and died. Every other brand took off. Revisit you guys soon. Got #7 soaking again, I have a pack of slurricane and flapjacks or whatever it is. Just keeping it real, no hate

Yea I’ve had that happen a few times. Just bad luck more than anything. I’ve found it helps to mist the seed shell. Make sure it’s always got some moisture on it, and within 12 hours it’s almost always softened enough that you can pull it off with tweezers if you’re very gentle.

I had something very similar in the PKBr run I just posted, but this girl would just grow no matter what. I ended up having to put the jiffy pellet almost at the bottom of a solo cup to support it by the time she was ready for transplant.
As you can see my method has helmets almost every time. What Granddaddy said is my method also. Very rarely, if its still stuck after 48 hours you might have to risk everything to force it off or the plants dying anyways.
