I don't know if this was intended towards me or the person leaving RIU? But in any matter, I have the user on ignore already, & if your talking to the person leaving, he/she may have the 'kids' he/she is referring to on ignore also, but the ignore function on RIU is ass. It does almost nothing except block the messages from you seeing them. But it doesn't block the user from contacting you via PM, via wall, via thread [they can still reply to your threads] or anything else, it's almost pointless. The person I have stalking me right now is on ignore, yet they continue to follow me to all my threads because they still have access to my profile... so ignore kind of sucks ass if you know what I mean.

Lol... but it does annoy the shit out of the ignored user. But I can understand why this user is leaving, to many trolls, & no authority against them is being taken. I feel for the dude, I do... but, what can you do? Got to let him go.

Oh, well that's why I added the bit about how ignore sucks ass. Lol. It should block the user altogether from your threads, your profile, your wall, your PM's, your replies, etc. like a normal ignore function. I don't understand what drug the creator of the RIU ignore was on, lol... probably not the one in your avatar. Cocaines one helluva drug!

Dude, the reason you're getting trolled is because you will respond with a wall of text, every, freakin, time, Don't just put your stalker on ignore, actually ignore them. dont respond in any way at all. they will get bored really quickly. I know you want to respond, but bite your tounge.

Well, I'm not like the dude leaving, I can care less if I get stalked. I ignore em & let em talk, like I said. But, I can see that by the chain of events happening, it is pissing off people like you or Pony, Idk about you? But, you can't make everyone happy on here. I for one respond because it pisses off the stalker, but by me responding it pisses off Pony, so therefore, someone goes home unhappy. Right?

But then on the other hand, if I don't respond, then it doesn't generate 'humor'. What do I mean by humor? Well, you already saw the people on this thread that said this is what makes the forum fun, trolls & people who respond to trolls. So if I'm not responding, then those people don't get they're humor they look for & the forum isn't 'fun' for them. So therefore, they go home unhappy, therefore someone loses in any matter.

I can understand your point of view if it was pissing me off, but it's not... I'm simply stating how the ignore function is shit on this forum, doesn't mean I want it fixed or that the trolls are winning. It's a lose-lose situation for someone when trolls are on websites, which is why moderators need to do a better job getting rid of them & I understand they can't monitor every thread, so what's that tell you? GET MORE MODERATORS! It's not fucking science... lol.

EDIT; Now were way off topic, this went from someone leaving, to my stalker coming, to me stopping my conversation with the stalker, to other people talking about ignoring, & still, nobody is talking about the 'good member' leaving. Let's just drop this conversation altogether, before Pony get's mad again for not respecting the topic of this thread, lol.

There is a show? Wtf... link me, or I'll Google is myself, but I can be lazy at times. I fucking love that character, thought it was only for the movie. We learn something new everyday, we learn many things new when we collaborate with stoners everyday.

You guys just hijacked the OPs thread completely. Very disrespectful. Now monstagonja, I see where you are coming from 100%. There are so many underage kids on this site who make a profile to ask a stupid question like "my mom just caught me smoking weed what do I do?" and shit like that which does get irritating. Then they just do like what happened to this thread and hijack it because they feel like picking a fight with someone being the know it all teenagers they are. If it weren't for some of the other members on this site, I would have been gone long ago.

you got it 100 percent...a few years ago when i started it was actually fun to get on RIU and not run into teenagers with dumb post and threads..
