Thanks YGB! Considering the friggin temps we've been having it's a miracle they're hanging in there. This garden is in a well insulated area that normally doesn't get above 85 but with the incessant 100+ days I bet I lost a week to mid 90's in the tent. And while the water temps have gotten as high as 85 the fish are doing fine and continue to grow. I'd be willing to bet some of the bass would weigh in @ around 2lbs. I haven't seen any stress issues in the garden so I'll thank my stars and hope the weatherman is right and tomorrow starts cooling off.

So this is my Day 30 update. Since the last update I've added the Co2 running at ~900ppm. The buds are starting to show color, especially on the WW. I'm seeing increased bud density and terpene production with trichome development over all three strains. Once the temps stabilize I'm thinking the frost is going to go mad. Once can only hope. I'm still running on a 13/11 schedule and I've added another 1/4# of the aquaponic elements. Other than that what we see is a result of straight fish poop pushing these gurlz along.

On a side note; I've always enjoyed bonding with my gardens. It's cathartic. It's necessary. But to bring fish into the equation has given me a deeper appreciation for the animal/plant relationship that make this thing work. Up until now I would have never considered the deep philosophical impact that one can experience by getting stoned and thinking your fish are trying to communicate with you. I swear to God those little bastards are working me!

why are you using hydroton instead of rock? certain
varieties of rock (pink granite for example) are rich in
the nutrients that fish feces is lacking.

Amazin growth in the last week on the c99 auto haze.
They are gonna kick ass, I can already tell..

This is the real secret to big autos keeping them happy as baby's.
Stress early on means low yields as autos dont veg long....

Day 37. With the fish getting bigger and I wanted a veg bed anyway I took this opportunity to pull the tank back and add a new 30" x 50" tray which lets me gravity feed the fish tank water down through both media beds. I lit the bed with a single Pro-200 setup on an 18/6 photoperiod. For now I've got some basil's and kale that just popped as well as a pepper plant in there. Once they get a bit bigger I'll move them into the greenhouse while I setup for my next run of most likely Blue Dream.

Day 43 fish poop update! All the strains are super sticky and smell fantastic. The WW is 85% cloudy, 10 clear, 5% amber so I'm pulling it today. From what I'm told she's finishing about 10 days early. It looks like the AC/DC has started to cloud up so I'm thinking they might come down later this week. The Harlequin has a bit to go but based on how their stacking up these two ladies will be ones pulling the weight.

Are you seeing less trichomes on the high cbd strains? I just have a theory about cbd : trichome ratios.

They're looking really good.

Hiya Hy! Thanks bro. It's been a learning experience for sure. Not knowing what to expect I was happy to get any kind of results at all. In fact just pulled the WW and noticed that the roots were not very well established. I'm sure this had to do with me not getting a good ebb and flow in the media bed. The new bell siphon I put in drops the water down to within an inch of tray bottom. The previous siphon only dropped the water about 3" which kept the bottom of the pot in water. Should only get better me thinks.

As to the trichome comparisons I don't know these strains so it would be hard to say. I'm curious though as to what your theory is on trichome production for high CBD plants. ;-)

any cbd plants I've done in the past seem to have less trichomes compare to higher thc and less cbd. That could be genetics. I've seen a few pennywise that had 8% cbd that have had barely any trichomes. Its just a working theory. Nothing concrete.

Was coming to a similar hypothesis myself hyroot, but I havent grown a high cbd strain myself yet. not sure what strain to try since it seems for some you have a harder time finding a high cbd pheno and wothout access to a lab wouldnt know which to keep other than by effect on my knee pain.
