Ah the classic "but that's not what the Quran says" argument.

At some point, most of you anti-anti-islamisationists will realize too, it's a little silly to pretend a religion you do not even believe in, is exactly and limited to what its 'bible' describes. It's like a christian saying something is a certain way because it says so in the bible. The blade cuts on both ends.

What you of course should be talking about and looking at as well, is how a religion is practiced in... ummm... practice, and not just in theory. I.e. look at the reality instead of debating what muslims according to your own limited interpretation of the Quran should do.

There, helped you four years ahead in the debate. The "but that's not what the Quran says" argument is a dead horse. Dead, buried, and turned into wallpaper glue.

For many muslims "really" Jihad has everything to do with religion (muslims going for war against infidels), that's how it's practiced in practice. In theory it's as much about the inner battle with oneself and others to be a good muslim, which still has everything to do with the religion islam. So unless you don't consider Islam a religion, Jihad, especially the Jihad people talk about, has everything do to with religion, which too is used to enthrall populations, historically.

Plenty of muslim intellectuals and organizations recognize there are radical and dangerous flavors of and movements within islam.

There are good christians and bad christians, the moderate or less extreme tend to be the better christians. The ones who don't mutilate genitals, breed out, don't hate gays or want to burn witches and force rape women to keep the offspring, amongst others. A moderate christian is essentially less christian. Not taking everything all too literal anymore.

Same thing goes for muslims, but different, in ways worse (like no bacon), with the ultimate ideal situation being that all muslims are so moderate they are essentially no longer muslims. Hence, fuck islam, don't build mosques to allow imams to poison people's minds with desert fairytales.
