dude we all started off somewhere, i , like you had no budget for nutes etc so used the baby bio for veg, this can be found at any hardware for only like 3euro. works a treat too i have lovely lush green girls all the way....

for flower theres a 7 euro bottle of bio bizz flower food, been useing it for ages and no complaints, tap wood but gotten very little in the way of def`s and problems so it can be done and done proper on a small budget....

best thing is get the 600w then, the difference in leccey is meager for the reward at the end of the grow, so when you look at it like that you`d be a fool not too hahahahahaha, serious tho, there hot sons of bitchs so you`ll have to invest in extractor aswell

i was going to recomend several options. tinfoil. black paint. Anything that will block out the light. it dosent have to be fancy. cut bottles arent, so who cares what they llok like. even doubled over newspaper would be fine.

organics are cheap, eazy to obtain, and produce the finest tasting bud. chemmies may yield higher (or so many claim)
but i wont use that shit. no way.i wont give plants any wierd shit. if it aint from nature, i dont use it. im no greenpeace extermist, but its my opinion if it works fine in nature (which created all this) why fuck with it?

and buy a light acording to your space. it costs about 40$ a month to run a 1000w hid. its all i use. 1000 w switchable dimmable ballasts. what thos means is my ballasts can run both hps and mh (thats what switchable means) and dimmable.means it can run on several power levels. i have some chinese ones that run at 500, 750, and 1000 watts. these are the ballasts i highly reccomend.dimms allow you extra control. if your room is out of control hot, and you havent a ac, turn your ballast down. 1000 watts are incredible hot. turning it down cools it subtantially cause you now have a fan/cooling system designed to cool 1000w cooling a 750 or 500 watt.


dimms are highly versitile. buying them is the best way to go. i purchase chinese lamps, hoods and ballasts cause they are as good as any others. why spend 229.99 on a hortilux blue when i can get a whole setup (ballast, aircooled hood, bulb of my choice). buying from china is fantastic. you save money on things theres no need to spend extra on. you will have more bank for other stuff. a bulb is a bulb. you can order off ebay, or cloudy, for you, pm me if you want and ill send you my contacts info. and what i use. You wont ever have to buy anything else for quite a bit.

and i recomend switchables cause i like to use mh in veg and hps in flower. i try and mimic the seasons. i am considering trying a plasma light tho. if it turns out to be any good, ill let ya know.

I`m real sorry here KushHound, but as a labour activist and loyalist to my working countrymen and woman, I will not buy from China, just get what you pay for in this world, there is a reason I use Hortilux`s, they have the best performance period, I`ll put any bulb against them under my intensity meter and they`ll be blown away. Easily 10-15% increase in light while not having an adverse temp spike in any way. Switchable ballasts are okay as well, but I`m all about full-bore, especially if you`ve sized your lighting properly in your space anyways along with adaquate ventillation.

Not trying to come off as a hater mate, just want the info to be good for all. Buy good quality, home-built products slowly over time and you`ll end up saving money down the road, trust me, I`ve done both ways, now North American or bust matey,

The chinese shit works when you need to buy as much stuff as me. or if you are on a tight budget. i wont say how many lights i got, but even 10 hortilux blues is like 3 grand usd. i can get bulbs for 10% of the cost that honestly last just as long. and dope plants can only take in so much light... if my whole setup was not chinese bought it would probably have cost me about a quarter million. and i cant afford that. this one drained me completly.

i would love to say i buy local gear, but its to expensive.

Sounds like a serious op man ... I run a full-scale patient op and get offets from Health Canada to do so and my op would cost nowhere near that with the highest of high end, haha. Funny you mentioned a 10-pack of Horti Blues as that`s what I get from my hydro guy and the 10-pack runs me about $850 CDN when I buy it that way.

My whole Factory op, has now 7 tents, all of which house 600w lights minus one for starts and one for mothers and I put about $25K into that entire set-up (tents, lights, fans, water cost, etc.). I`ll still stand by my previous post, the socio-economic concerns alone warrant the quality domestic products, but we`re all different have have different views as well don`t we, not to mention budgetary concerns. Its not obscene, but its reasonably big. and alot of effort goes in. it probably wwouldnt cost that much i guess, but still more than i could have afforded.

and i dont use tents. i have a wide basement. its short tho. it sucks.

25 k is resonable. mine was not fun after i watched my life savings disapear. and my ex was killing me for child support. now my cousin is watching my daughter, so thats cheaper. its coming up on harvest so ill be at least recovering what i put into this.

i wasnt rich, so starting a bigger one hurt. i was only able to cause i came out here to the country. its was less fucked up to do it big out here

ah not to worry dude, they can recover and you probably added a week or so extra to the grow with the recovery time but alls not lost yet..

be careful stressing them out tho, it can cause issues like going hermmi on you, and thats the last thing you want is a load of seeded weed, still smokeable but not ideal...

you do get seeds tho...hahahahahhaa...
