USA was not energy independent. We still imported oil from Russia, and Saudia Arabia. And the only reason gas was $1.79 a gallon was because of covid. There was no demand for it, so prices went down. THEN tRump told the oil industry he was going to save them, and blackmailed Saudia Arabia into cutting oil production. He told them he wouldnt sell them weapons they had already made a deal for, unless they cut oil production for at least the next 2 years. So they cut oil production by 20 MILLION BARRELS PER DAY. You will never convince me that cutting that much oil production wasnt/isnt one of the main drivers of inflation around the world. And when tRump left office, gas was $2.40 a gallon, and rising. So it went from $1.79 to $2.40. Which is a 61 cent raise. And consider that the Saudis were to keep production low through 2022, its still one of the main drivers of inflation. And Now the Saudis are siding with Russia, and are going to cut production even further. And Russia just cut another 700,000 barrels per day, so for those that still get Russian oil, and oil from Saudia Arabia, it is going to add to their higher inflation.
The U.S. was buying oil from Russia in 2020, and for many years before. For instance, Russia accounted for 7% of total U.S. imports of petroleum in 2020 and 7.9% of those imports in 2021.

And his tax cuts only help the rich. His tax cuts were not paid for, and he rose the Debt by 30%. Consider in his 4 years, he added 30% to the total debt. More than any other president. And he did it in 4 years.

And his deregulation has been a mess. He deregulated banks that are now going to possibly fail. He deregulated the EPA, and let our water, and air get even more polluted that it already is. He cut 100 EPA regulations, for big business. He deregulated safety precautions for the railroads. Hows that workin out??

Fair Trade?? Under tRump more farmers went out of business. He screwed the baby formula thing. We used to get baby formula from Canada, and his fucking with NAFTA was a direct result of having the formula shortage. He cost the american taxpayers, and farmers Billions with his trade practices on China, and is so fucking stupid, tried to sell the shit that China was the one paying the penalties, and not the USA tax payers, which was a crock of shit. tRumps trade practices cost the American Taxpayers 3 BILLION a Month. 80 Billion on the Taxpayers, and more than 46 BILLION AS 0F 2020 on businesses. tRumps trade policies will cost the USA 1.8 TRILLION DOLLARS OVER THE NEXT 10 YEARS. As OF 2020.

tRump had a $2.5 trillion total Department of Defense (DOD) budget-- comparatively speaking, Obama's budget was about $3.3. trillion during his first term and $2.7 trillion during his second term. So Obama spent more than tRump did.

And 56% of the American people support sending aid, and weapons to Ukraine.

When TrUMP LEFT OFFICE UNEMPLOYMENT WAS AT 6.6%. NOW ITS 3.5%
tRump was the 1st president in almost 100 years that had less jobs, than when he started.

I live in ranch and farm country more cattle than people here.
Things are far,far worse now than precovid.
There's some upcoming food price hikes that will be super.

And food prices especially for beef, and chicken/poultry is 2 fold.

More than 50% of the cattle ranchers in Texas had to sell their stock early because of the drought. All of the grazing land, and water is gone because of the drought, and farmers had to sell their cattle before they were at their fattest. Same goes for the price of pork, lamb, ect. Theres not enough water in the midwest because of drought.

The USA had to destroy more than 50 MILLION Chickens because of bird flu. They also destroyed Turkeys, ducks and other poultry because of bird flu. Europe has the same problem. They too had to destroy 10s of millions of chickens, and other forms of poultry.

Then add in the drought induced debacle on the rivers of the world. There were more than 3000 barges stranded on the Mississippi River this past fall, and winter because the water levels were so low in places, you could walk across the Mississippi, and the Missouri Rivers. The lower Ohio was so low, that Evansville Indiana had to stop using water from the river, because the water level was below the intake pipes.

The Mississippi watershed produces 92% of the nation’s agricultural exports and 78% of the world’s exports in feed grains and soybeans. Millions of barrels of crude oil and other petroleum products move on the river monthly, as does 35% of the nation’s exports of thermal coal, which fuels power plants.

The economies of states in the basin also feel the effects of the river’s temperamental nature. Eleven of the top 12 agriculture-exporting states in the nation lie in the basin.

When the river dropped precipitously last fall, it snarled barge traffic and delayed shipments, exacerbating supply chain problems and bringing the Mississippi River’s role in the U.S. and global markets to the fore. With climate change bringing more extreme weather conditions, river planners expect more droughts, more flooding and more challenges ahead.

The Yangtze in China, usually has enough water to support sea going ships. It to was so low in places, you could walk across it.

Lake Victoria in Africa has lost 73% of its water supply. Lake Victoria supplies the Nile river, and the Nile is so low, that in the delta, the Mediterranean Sea is coming back up through the delta, destroying crops, and fouling the clean water supply. The Nile Delta grows the best cotton in the world. The same thing happened to the Mississippi River Delta. The Gulf of Mexico was infiltrating the delta, destroying crops, and fresh water supplies.

And wait until Lake Meade, Hoover Dam, and Lake Powell Powell are so low ( Dead Pool ) they can no longer power the water turbines, and 15 million people in the desert southwest have no electricity. Wait until its 115f in the shade, and they have no electricity, or water. They say this is coming within 3 years.

Shits going to get a lot worse, and no president in either party can stop it.

I thought it was great when people used it to buy stuff on the dark web, way easier than the weird gold buying method it replaced. Thats where it ends for me though. Crypto and the block chain are not the game changing technology people think.

Same as libertarianism is not some magic key.

I wish beanie babies were still a thing. Crypto is that, not actual currency. Maybe even less, at least you could comfortably take a nap on your pile of beanie babies, you got nothing with your video game money.

Not really, the TOS enforcement is fine, once ya get used to it. There are creative ways to get your point across without violating the TOS, it does not ban ideas. You can be plenty mean without breaking the TOS! :lol:

For me it’s been an education. If I can’t make my point politely, it slows me and makes me think.

Mind you, I did enjoy the rousing chukkers of troll polo. But at day’s end there’s more value in considering what I’m trying to say, what makes me react, and why it does. It has focused me on matters of civic consequence.
