the problem is changing the water in bubbleponics...if i make a homemade system out of buckets...it will be a real bitch because of the roots
usually u need to change the res like 2 times a month... make the system so lid lifts off with the pllants in their net pots chill in the lid and just have a friend hold it or suspend it over the sink... then u can rinse the bin and theeres no issues.. and u need to add water to the res.. make sure its ph tested because if water is evaporating out of the res then the salt content will increase causing nutrient lockout.. this can be prevented by simply topping off the reservoir with clear frest phed water, and a monthly nutrient flush with flora kleen or similar leaching solutioni have the same problem changing the water.. i was reading online that you could just add water to the bubbleponics with the correct PH.. is that true??
hey smile have u tried a fogger in your system? me and some of my good friends have been having faster growth rates then are old areoponics systems... the fogger is so quiet i forget its there until i pull out a net pot and get fogged out lolYou have to remember that "bubbleponics" is just a commercial term, like ipod, not a category like mp3 player. What is called bubbleponics is just another variation on DWC. Instead of the drip from the top (conveniently powered by gravity), it puts the feeder tubes in the res and adds a submerged pump and a distributor. Some of us maintain that you can do every bit as well by relying soley on intense bubble action and skip all that appartus in the water. Ironically, "that" would be the real bubbleponics.
I think the bottom line is they all work and any difference in performance is mainly a function of the grower not the system. Ebb and flow is really a DWC variation, too. You just have to learn exactly how they work and ask yourself if each one of the parts you are being told you need, is there because it does something critical for your plants or if it is there because perceived need creates a market for something someone is selling.
5 gallon is cool if u want to veg for months... but i suggest getting a rubber tub from walmart for like 10 bucks with a lid... then u just buy net pots an air pump and a fogger... u can litterally make a clean system for under 100 bucks... and it can house 5 plants... in less then 1.5 X 1.5 spacealso i dont have a reseroir i will be running solely 1 pump to a bucket per plant...because reservoirs are extremely too expensive
fog is cheapest and best bet in my opinion... only need the fogger and float.. air stone and pump bin with net pots and some growing mediumout of all besides the fogger which works the best yo?
