i know buyers and clubs that accept. the market is flooded right now with outdoor. If you got bomb indoor that has been properly cured and flushed then there is a huge market here in the central and south valley (california) fresno on down to visalia. My club in Visalia is stupid flooded with Outdoor but the 'top shelf' is down to only like 5 strains and half those guys dont fing flush their bud...probly cuz they read moron post threads and decide not to . lots of greenthumb growers here in the valley but lets face it... nothing compares to indoor unless your in the emerald triangle and had good weather. so, with all that nonsense said its all about What do you got? Are you for real with your bud? DO you KNOW its bomb or think? bring your top shelf to Visalia and get rid of it in the 4 clubs here you will sell it all..if its good

Been a whileince I touched base here. This Fall has been nothing like last Fall in So Cal. While we did see some outdoor, we didn't see anything near what we saw last year. I'm now dealing with just one dispensary. They're quite large and carry 70+ strains at all times. The most they will pay for the best out there is $3,500...and then under protest. But, they are buying at all times and haven't given us any flak about "there's all this kill outdoor for $2,000...bla...bla. That's the shit we heard last year. I'm assuming the smart outs growers developed different markets (think Mid West). Only fools will stay here and start a price war.
I'm only familiar with my local market, but I think many people believe their buds to be better than they are. One mistake in the whole growing process could result in your buds slipping into the "B" grade class...not a good place to be unless you're cool with 2k for indoor. My wife and I go through every bud in every pound before taking it to market. We remove any bud that isn't perfect. Even though my trimmers are quite experienced (the average age of our members is around 45) they still end up letting over an ounce/pound of sub par buds slip passed.
I have seen several people turned down by our buyer for a variety of reasons...most avoidable. One grower had some great smelling stuff. But, he harvested a bit early and it looked a little hairy. He was turned down. I took a hit of his shit and it was nothing short of killer. Even though the weed was great it lacked bag appeal. Another grower had left a bunch of small buds in the Lb and even a couple grams of shake. A little extra work on hert part and she'd of left with 3k in her pocket. Instead she was told to come back in a week with better sorted weed. Both these growers had elite genetics, yet skipped a little detail.
We weigh all our Lbs to 460 grams. We also remove any shake that has developed right before going to market. Just a gram of shake in the bottom of the bag look bad. I believe that great genetics grown proffesionally will always sell with little problem at a fair price.

I'm seeing the exact same thing all over the bay and all my friends up in humboldt are saying shitty harvest this year.
me too. I even go through the buds I've trimmed myself.

I, too, hope for good summer prices. Many of the bigger growers may also have stored their good till summer. Either way, it looks as if demand, once again, will be quite strong. This despite all the rumors of price crashes. I heard a rumor that Oct rains molded out the outdoor Sativas this fall...that anything not out by then was ruined. I do not wish any ill to my outdoor brothers, and hope the mold rumor is untrue. It's really too bad we're such a secretive bunch. A little communication and organization between the growers would go a long way toward some sort of market stability. California is to weed what Saudi Arabia is to oil...and look what OPEC does.
huge storm came thru the first week of Oct and dumped a lot of water. then it got back into the 90's and hasn't really rained since. luckily i got mine in just before the rain came. i saw it coming and know what happens. a lot of people tried to cover there's with only minimal results. i've heard of a lot of bud rot and a lot of caterpillars.

thier is a lot of venders big dog and alot of bud that sucks so if your any good.. you got a shot but to tell you the truth man the prices have gone down, n thier is alot of dirt not knocking dirt i started in dirt but its just not the same anymore... good luck..

It was also the fact that a lot of NorCal got no sun for much of the summer. Here we had 4 days where we got any sun for the entire month of August. Then we got the same type of weather in October. When it's cloudy/foggy/humid/rainy for pretty much the whole flowering period, that can't do good things for the outdoor crop.

I've often wondered why the outdoor capitol hasn't shifted south. I used to grow in La Crescenta...near Pasadena. The climate is PERFECT every year. You just need to water alot.
Oh well...I hope everyone gets through the year with their ass intact.

Fuck i lost at least 10 lbs to mold and caterpillers, thankfully i made it out with about 10-11 lbs.
At least i gained the knowledge on how to prevent it in the future
but ya that randmon rain and then the hot ass weather was pretty upsetting. that one rain fucked a lot of peoples crops up.on the news i was watching that it also reduced the california grape crop by 25% this year.
