You are 100% correct. I let other peoples stupidity goad me into futile arguments...
But the weed does help get me through those, as it does with my medical situation.
As for misreading about organ failure. I apologise. However, the weed is still not responsible for saving your life. You refuse the pharmacueticals that wouldve caused your death. Good. So you live.
What has weed got to do with that? If you can live without those pharm drugs then you can live without the weed. The weed just helps you get through the day easier.
Thanks for helping to make my point.
You've also apparently never dealt with extreme pain. My father has had patients kill themselves dealing with pain, because of the pain. But those people technically could live without drugs, as you say. Very empathic of you.
If any of that was true then we would not be having this discussion and marijuana would already be curing millions of others.
Sadly, that isnt the case. I can tell you that the earth is flat, but that doesnt make it true.
You have absolute faith the government does right for all. And that big companies do too. Good for you, naive one.
The first cancer study done recently (it was listed as a cancer treatment back in the late 19th early 20th century btw) by the US government trying to prove it caused cancer and showed the exact opposite was BURIED DELIBERATELY by those who put it together - the US government. Some of those involved with the study who thought the results were incredible (they were) went on the Internet/Usenet not too long after it became more prevalent and asked people to do FOIA requests for the study - which had been buried deep - and finally it came to light - barely. I mean Usenet in the late 80's and early 90's wasn't exactly a big news pushing center. But almost 40 years later this study and its story has finally come into a small % of the publics consciousness.
There isn't much money in a cure (or even just very effective treatment) for cancer, especially one that is completely unpatentable and cheap as hell to grow yourself. There is even less power if you make medicines that are effective legal for people to grow. Opium is illegal not because it's addictive, but because it's not patentable and controllable. That's it.
Wanna know what it takes for a government to stay a government? To maintain power. Nothing more. Giving people more power is NEVER something government will EVER do. Period full fucking stop. And these plants offer much power to people. But hey, that's a side issue.
