Is It Spam When A Troll Posts New Multiple Threads When Existing Threads Are Discussing The Topic?

Difference of opinion is one thing, but We have threads that are hundreds of pages long, some two. It is not all that hard for a person to look and think, "I have an article about getting the covid shot, I think I will put it in the thread that is already started.", rather than start five new threads that is about the vaccine. Since I have been in the politics section I have seen trolls come and go. But none of them spammed the site with news articles because they disagreed with most of the people. They had at least a minimum of decorum trying to troll us.

Maybe they were paid ones and stinky puss is just a wannabe? Now was that baking powder or baking soda? I always get that mixed up.

I helped mod another site where they put us in own own little playpen with it it being about politics, religion, global warming, all the hot button topics. I should slum it and visit for laughs, mind you it would probably be depressing to see what it became with four orange years. This place is nice and warm and fuzzy, quite pleasant actually.

I’ve hung out at a site like that…the Big Boy Bronzer years saw the entire site come apart: a ‘site upgrade’ that completely screwed every pooch in the five metro counties…the rise of an unabashed Nazi POV w/ a considerable stable of pet trolls, the loss of any reason to ever go back at all…RIP, I guess

Checked out the site last night. Have the section behind a membership wall. Wondered what my password was? Darn, worked. Seemed more cleaned up now, checked out a thread on the virus. Had some guy bragging about going to a doctor's office making a stink about having to wear a mask. Removed it before he left the office and taunted the people as he left. Left a post for him on how I thought he has no respect for others to put it short. One guy I remember who wasn't a fuck up said in Tennessee you are seeing many more face masks now with the Delta, that everyone knows someone who died. Did a search and the fruitcake pastor that said he will kick out anyone wearing a mask is in Tennessee.

I wonder if it's just sort of a weird demographic thing. Lots of younger people and those wanting to show off stuff split for Instagram, leaving the cranky old folks that don't embrace new technology over represented in the space. (By cranky olds...I mean people that want to write more than a sentence and a hashtag...how the hell do you learn anything from that? *shakes fist at sky*)

I try to always remember that it is likely just a troll pretending to be a lot of people while gathering information about their marks. And a handful of others that are being nudged into varying stages of radicalization.
