GrowTech

stays relevant.
BTW, if you do - harvest will be very premature, though you might get something. But its best to wait or move em indoors.

Why do people think they can pull off a grow in the last two months of the grow season? No plant can fully finish it's life cycle in that amount of time, with any kind of useful result.

You'll get experience in "what happens when you start off a grow in the last two months of a 6 or 7 month grow". The pros of this are FAR outweighed by the cons.

Wanted to ask another question so I don't have to make a new topic. Sorry for hijacking your thread for a second but it seems like you already got some legitimate answers. Anyways, does anyone know or know of a website that tells me when the days shorten in my area. I live in Southern California and i'd like to be able to find it out

My outdoor plants are 4-6 feet tall after about two months. I wish I would have planted them a month later :(

I would give it a shot to be honest, get it to show sex, then take clones from the females and bring them indoors for cooler months. >: )

yea i wish i had time to do it this summer tho

Wish granted! :)

Get seeds of an autoflower strain. (lowryder/lowryder2/lowberry etc..)
Lowryder is not a very good option, they grow the skinniest and smallest. But if just for the experience and some grams of homegrown, they're ok. Lowryder2 is good though.

Lowberry and other interesting auto-strains:
Auto flowering cannabis seeds

-The lifecycle of an autoflower plant is about 2months, max. 10weeks. So start them inside on the windowsill or under a small fluorescent lamp. Be sure to start autoflower seeds in a big enough container (min. 1litre), or their growth will be stunted due to their short life cycle. With one gallon per seed you would not need to transplant at all, that is if you can safely keep them outside in the same containers. If in 1 litre containers, you can keep them there for 3-4 weeks and by that time they will show if they're boys or girls, and by that time they will also have filled up the containers with roots just enough to transplant. Anysize/way you choose, move them outside one week after they've popped up from the soil. Don't premoisten the seeds, and use potting/cactus soil (that is poor in nutrients) in the top 1/3 of the container. Plant the seeds 1cm under the soil surface either lying or with the point downwards. The point is the "sharp" end, the other end is the one which was attached to the plant while growing, you'll see the difference easily. Take care that the soil is moist but not sogged when planting, and moisten the soilsurface by spraying it every day lightly with a little water. the seeds will pop up after 3-5 days.

And don't let negative people tell you autoflower strains are worthless, they simply are not. Well, maybe if yield in pounds is all you care about.. ;)

If weather turns really bad before 8weeks, you will still have some bud after 6 weeks. :D

Good luck with your grow!!!

sweet thanks :)
np. ;-)

When searching for a place outside, try to find a place that gets direct sunlight from early morning (7-8am)to late evening (8-9pm). A little shading in the middle of the day is no problem. If you must choose, then morning sunlight is more important than evening sunlight as I have noticed up here in southern Finland where I live. And if there is naturally growing big and healthy looking nettles and/or other stuff that looks vaguely like cannabis, then there will be suitable soil in the ground and the roots of your small autoflowers can dig deep down and you won't have to manually water except when giving nutrients. Rocky terrain on the other hand is worry-free concerning snails, but there you have to water every few days. After the plants have shown sexes, start giving them some sort of flowering nutrient weekly. Biobizz nutrients are nice, the're totally organic. :weed:
