its not the religion and its not the country. its the people. people are what turns a moral ideology, into somthing corrupt and ugly which effects millions of people. the rules and commandments are set in stone........literally. theres nothing in the bible were it says we should kill millions of people. thoes are the actions of PEOPLE not the RELIGION

These ppl weren't killed because they didn't subscribe to atheism.....there's a big difference. Try to keep it in context.

I've heard in the bible it says Christians should "obey the laws of the land." And seeing how weeds illegal that puts Christians in a weird spot...cause god did say he made the plant for us but the land says no and we should obey that too...WTF?!

The church ground civilizations down for only one thing.... conversion. Not so with your example. Atheism wasn't a goal with those totalitarian regimes and not a barometer for who died. Not so with the Church........

exactly cj good point atheism was not the force behind those regimes goals. our current war on terror is a war between 3 religions then you have the crusades the persecution and burning of non christian women 'witches lol' it goes on and on. it never ceases to amaze me the ability of religious types particularly christians who can blindly believe anything to protect there close minded fairy tail beliefs. i love that christians use the term 'the truth shall set you free' that makes me laugh quite ironic. we could also debate the catholic church and its political doings over the centuries and general manipulation of the bible to better its conquests but thats too easy lol. seriously if your so weak as humans to have to follow a book written by other MEN without question well please dont breed. blind faith is just comical try using insight and free thought thats where real truth comes from not from rewritten and manipulated manuscripts written by humans thousands of years ago just like you not GOD. if there was some a-hole waiting to punish everyone floating in the sky im sure we would know by now. wake up think for yourselves people geez and this is an alternative website i can only imagine the absurdity that abounds elsewhere on the net. by the way the technology you use on the computer you type on was made by someone who is not religious as are most things that benefit mankind so if you believe all the religious garbage you should go live in the forest in a mud hut as thats where we would be if religions still had full control.

Nobody is saying that Christians DIDNT do bad things in the past. they have. but that has NOTHING to do wit the RELIGION. i mean, i dont know how to make it any clearer. and because i choose to believe in god that makes me weak? thats kinda biased. i dont think a person is weak or stupid for not believing in god. theres nothing wrong in believing in somthing or rather not believing in somthing. because YOU feel diffrient about it dont mean the other person is stupid because he or she dosn't share the same opinion as you do. so in a debate keep it factual. opinions are welcomed, but just make sure it's comming from the right place..................

im not saying all christians are bad or that anyone who believes in god is stupid but anyone who follows the bible word for word and reads it all as fact is very stupid sorry. also the original teachings of jesus or christianity have been changed to suit the churches power and to wage holy wars over the centuries what it was and what its become are two different things. jesus spoke against the same things the church does now and sadly most christians dont even really understand there own religion or the original teachings of christianity. christianity as well as islam are nothing like what they were originally and all the changes were done by men craving power and control. if you really know the history of islam christianity and judaism its really not something you want to be a part of. besides that why do you need a specific religion to believe what you believe what is the purpose it only divides people further. why do people need to be taught what to believe regarding the unknown. do most christians really believe everyone regardless of how they live will go to some magical place called hell because they dont worship a guy who died thousands of years ago its all so ridiculous to any logical mind. if an adult said he believed in santa clause people would laugh yet its ok to say you believe in the bibles fairy tales its really absurd its almost 2010 people wake up. blind faith without question regarding religion atheism or other is a dangerous thing.
