cant you just tell by the pics whats wrong. I use potting mix with chips in it I don't have nutrients or anything I just let it grow outdoor and water it every couple days but I think I cut the wrong nude because another one grew on the left side of it I can tell its the part where I was to actually top it or maybe that's just how they grow its a diamond og clone
Keep an eye on your temps at night red stems and leaves is an indication of cooler night, you plant might like some light in the 2700 kelvin, try to balance the light so they get an even 2700k and cooler white at about 5600k

I think he said he keeps it outside. I think he topped another plant and called that a clone. I've never done that, so I have no advise to give him. Only his first set of pics show for me, so...........

Plants never get enough light, that said, perhaps a warmer location at night for the next grow, or maybe just a temp weather thing!

Ok I did the poll and voted for advise so here it is. Don't do anything else to the top It could end up awesome. If it stunts the growth a bit don't worry I would light it up 24 7 and not water so much. looks over watered.

You give some seriously bad advice.

Oh ya, the kelvins of his lights are causing his plants to look like that:roll:

Oh you grow outside? Ok maybe it's the temp at night thenLOL:wall:

Cracks me up

Stop drenching the leaves. I don't know why people do that.

You thought you topped it wrong so you perched a clot of dirt on the plant? WTH It's too late to do anything about a poorly executed top. Leave the poor plant alone for God's sake and let it make new leaves, regardless of where they come out.

You used "regular dirt with chips in it". Again, WTH

I don't understand why it's going into flower. You're growing outdoors, so it's way too soon in the Northern Hemisphere, and the wrong time of year in the Southern Hemisphere. I have zero experience with clones - maybe that has something to do with it? If you take a clone from an inside grow that's running lights 18/6 or whatever and set it outside, maybe the clone thinks fall is coming?

I think the plant can be saved. Let someone who has some natural talent at growing things take care of it for you. I don't think you have the patience or empathy.

I live in California by the beach it gets windy and the sun is hot, but I have a question. if I buy another clone can I still grow it outside at this time of the year because doesn't summer end in july? or do I still have time

As you know there's a huge difference between Northern California and Southern California shoreline environments. You said the sun gets hot, so I'll assume you're at least south of the Bay Area. If you're so close that you're affected by fog and salt spray carried in the wind that would add some complexities.

Summer solstice - the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere - is June 21. After that the days start getting shorter. The difference is minimal at first. By late September the difference from one day to the next is at its maximum, and any outdoor annual plant will know that time is running out.

Cloning is something I know nothing about. Hopefully someone who does know will contribute. Having said that, it makes sense to me that a plant cloned indoors under 18/6 lighting could get very confused when suddenly set outside. Do you know anything about the cloning environment and the lighting schedule? Were you expecting it to go into flower so soon? A photo-sensitive pot plant in California that had spent all or most of its life exposed to the outdoor light cycle would not be going into flower this early.

What does dirt with chips mean? Do you have a brand name?

People have done far worse things to their plants than your topping efforts. I know it's hard, but you have to stop fixating on that. Forget about the top, as difficult as that may be, and concentrate on the plant's overall health.

Oh, hey, I forgot - I've read over and over again on RIU that you should stop topping a plant 2 weeks before flipping from veg to flower. I don't understand why your outdoor plant thinks it's time to flower but you need to put away the clippers and help her get to the finish line.

Or, as some of the guys said, maybe force it back to veg. But I think you'd have to take her indoors and crank the light cycle way up to make her forget about flowering and go back to veg. I'm sure there are limits to this. Once a plant has decided for sure that it's going to spawn and die like a salmon it can't be easy to turn it around. Doesn't matter, 'cause you said you can't do indoor so my uneducated guess is you're stuck with it trying to flower.

June 21 is almost a month away. Most strains have typical flowering times, expressed in weeks. I don't know how long Diamond OG is supposed to run, but if you can keep it alive maybe it'll flower for an extended period?
