Well I hate cigarettes, so I would be the last to answer that question about public smoking because of my bias, but the "airlines" are not in control of the airport...each state has an airport authority ( just like sea ports are under port authority )...the airport authority falls under the FAA which sets the regulations that all airports must follow...just out of curiosity, does each airline have the option of requiring TSA searches or has the government take control that aspect of the free market? like they did with restraunts and bar owners rights to offer or not offer a smoking section?
