How did the last secession go. I can't seem to recall. Please refresh my memory
I'm not sure you have a valid point. Are you saying that because some slaves get caught when they try to run away the rest should shut up and pick cotton faster ?

I' m guessing you didn't read the original post in this thread. Get Bucky to help you with the big words. Really, it will be okay, he's got unusually high ASVAB scores.

I'm not talking about a replication of a failed past territorial secession. I was talking about a different kind.

Okay. The last secession...go ahead school me with your public school awesomeness.

In the meantime what do you think of a country that reputes to be about freedom, telling people they cannot be exempted from the coercive control of that country or they will be killed?

so when the south seceded from the north was the last time in history that any country(ies) have seceded from another?
No to your question.

In a manner of speaking every time anybody here uses marijuana in a sense they are seceding just a little bit....and that is a good thing.

WTF
se·cede
səˈsēd/
verb
gerund or present participle: seceding
withdraw formally from membership in a federal union, an alliance, or a political or religious organization.

In answer to the OP, I think an individual SHOULD have that right but in reality it will never happen. We can denounce our citizenship but unless we move to a deserted island, we are still bound by the nanny who collects their protection money, and the vig keeps running.
