Obama has been a man of his word. He has done, or strived to do everything he promised while campaigning for office. He told Gays he supported their civil rights and right to serve, and he has taken steps to address that. He stated he wanted to get high speed net in rural areas, he has appropriated money to do so. He indicated he supported state rights to MMJ, and he has ordered the DOJ to not do raids in states that have MMJ laws.

Now this does not preclude local law enforcement from asking for DEA assistance. I personally believe that some local police precincts are feeling the budget pinch and they miss the war on drug cash seizures that they became addicted to. I read that some police departments' budgets are in the hole millions because of MMJ laws and the lack of large marijuana busts and seizures.

I think it is up to the voters to not put up with it. If it was voted in and became state law, the police have no choice but to enforce the state law, regardless of how a 25 year sheriff veteran feels about cannabis, his employers, the people of the state, have spoken. I feel that any law enforcement officer that has a personal problem with MMJ should resign immediately. The voters need to make their law enforcement and state legislature accountable to upholding the people's wishes, that is what a democracy is about.

I'm fed up reading quotes from officials in MMJ states that have anti- mmj personal views. While they are entitled to their opinions, they serve the people first and foremost. If they won't, they should resign or be forced to.

To sit here and blame a president who has shown support for state MMJ laws is ridiculous. these raids run much deeper than that. I'll bet if you looked at it with a different perspective, you'd be curius about the timing of the raids and the legislature's attempt to overturn MMJ laws in the state, EVEN though VOTERS approved the measure. Every one of those conservative bastards that pulled this stunt need to be forced to leave office for a conflict of interest. They no longer serve the will of the people. The state police requested federal assistance to conduct the damn raids... Obama did not order them....

And a word to you that want Obama out, careful what you wish for... two words.... George Bush.... You think he was bad for mmj, he could be a pussy cat compared to some huge anti-marijuana conservative that could easily force every dispensary to close, simply by repeated confiscations of plants and money. Blame the local officials that aren't working for their voters..... they have personal agendas, because they obviously aren't following the voter's intent.
