My final question. I already have an amare that I'll be using still and will probably be sticking to growing 8-12 plants.
What would work next to the amare the best, another amare, or would the 600 or 900 already built timber be the way to go. I am not that worried about the money as I am having the best possible light in my room. Like I said, I just need what would grow the plants the largest and best. I also have as much space as I want and can also make a new grow space if needed also.
Amare next to Amare is the best way to go. They make extremely intense lights & already provide the mixed spectrum. They're designed to be used together w/ overlapping light. That's why they come w/ H-Brackets & have the Solar-System option.
With that said, you don't need to add a Burple light to a white w/ hopes of it mixing, which never seems to pan out.
Also, seeing how they are so intense, the best way to have the most uniformity would be to use another. Another cool thing is the option to go w/ reflectors or Lens. Great versitily on the garden.
If you went w/ a Timber next to it, I'd imagine it would be difficult to get them both to work together seeing how one is much more intense then the other & has more depth & density. But the Timber will provide more uniformity from a single fixture.
Unless maybe you installed the cobs closer together & put lenses on. Even that, wouldn't have the mixed spectrum.
The goal is to provide even uniformity to the area while still having good density to your light.
That's what's so good about DIY lights in a single tent. They spread the cobs out to provide an even PPFD on the canopy.
Amare has done the same thing by offering the Pro-3 & 4 models. 2 of them next to each other is highly intense & maintains high #'s still when going farther down into the plants.
As you can see from the Plat video too, they have allot more IR then many other lights. HPS does too.
Just built my room, the ceiling is layed out for Pro-4's all the way down, w/ the exception of 1, SE-450 between 2, Pro-4's. If I had used any other light in the middle, not many would be able to provide light at the depth Of the others to my area.
Hope this helps.
Like for intense, a Fluence had the nice mixed spectrum but lacks the intensity/density.
I'm sure these guys will answer your question w/ vendored lights that are all the same pretty much. Also, can you find results from actual growers on any of them? Usually not because if someone wanted an all white cob light, they usually build one to save money & spread the cobs out to make one fixture do the job.
Edited:
White cobs will grow you great big colas too, it's just getting two different fixtures to coincide well w/ each other is the trick.
