Is this a good light to use

Also when do I need to start cutting the leaves so it gets more light ? Or do you not really need to do that ?
First question: You can start flower anytime you want. You can flower a tiny seedling if you want or you can grow that girl out to 10 foot before you flower her. Thats 100% on you and YOUR growing space. in MY world , she is already too big to flower....i do um small. MOST would flower her about now or wait a lil longer. Your goal is to fill your grow area up with that one plant BUT also making sure you dont overgrow her an not have enough room for her to finish. Most strains double or triple in size in the first couple of weeks of flower. Your already maxed out on the sides , now its a matter of how tall you want her. IMO you dont have much longer , this is your first go and she is healthy as it gets. If you want to super maximize your space then read into training your plants.
Second question. do NOT cut off any l;eaves. Them leaves are the solar panels that feed the flowers. "getting more light by cutting leaves is mostly a myth" Taking healthy leaves goes into the advanced grower section. 99% of all new growers will LOSE weight by picking off leaves. Thats just the cold facts.

So that cupboard isn’t actually my space I’ve just been starting it in there with that led light as my tent is too hot atm struggling with heat but I’m looking to move it into the tent I’m the next couple of days Iv just attached a pic of my tent do you still think I should start to flower ? I didn’t realise that they triple in size once you start to flower I would have thought they stop growing once you flower

is that a 4ftx4ft ? You have plenty of room for that girl. If you WANT a cycle then 18/6 is the way to go. They will stay in "veg" and also get some sleep.
Some species only doubles in size an some quadruples.....most triple. They do stop getting taller after they start putting buds on. They usually stop growing around week 4 after you go to 12/12. With good lighting , all species finish between 8-16 weeks after you flip to 12/12. Most are about 8-12 weeks.

Nice one mate yes it’s 1.2 metre by 1.2 metre by 2 metre high I’m going to put it on a cycle today so do you reckon I’m best off going 16-8 then ? I can’t really control the temp to well in my tent so it gets pretty hot in there it’s beetween 30-35 degrees so I’m just going to hope it doesn’t kill it what do you think ? That’s why I ain’t put it in there yet

18/6 not 16/8. That cycle will just keep her from flowering. They dont start flowering until you put them into 12./12.
The heat is not good but its not enough to kill the plant. Is that a 600 hps ? Its going to be hard to control the heat during lights on. Bigger outtake fan and pull your intake from the coldest spot in the house is about all you can do without ac.
Toss that girl in the tent for a pic , that way i got an idea how much room you got.....

Alright Iv just seen this message and it’s a little late now so I’ll put her in the tent and take a pic in the morning I know the heat isn’t ideal but I’m halfway through now and I only just paid 300 for all the set up I have and I can’t afford to buy bigger fans at the moment so I’m just going to hope for the best this time and hopefully wing it .. I’m not sure what light it is mate to be honest it just came with the tent lol I’ll take a pic and of the box if I still have it and show you tomorrow cheers for the help mate

Here is some pics mate couldn’t find the box for the light that’s not the same light that was in the first pic as I got this one of a friend to try and blow cold air on the bulb to keep heat down but it’s the same bulb that was in the other light

You should hook your ducking up to the light to exhaust some of the heat produced

Hi guys when I had my plant under the led light I was watering about 1 litre every 2/3 days now I’ve put it in the tent with the proper light I’m noticing it’s drying out a lot quicker so I’m thinking 1 litre a day ?? What do you guys think I’m going to put a picture of the size of pot

heat coming off the other light
Sorry to charge in here but just to get a couple things out there.
Your led prolly has a sticker: start there and look for power consumption. If it has a fan built in its probably around 70-100 true watts which will be good upto about week 4 ish of veg (vigour dependant & just mho)
I know the heat is ongoing issue for you so have you considered a 300w bulb instead? Prolly pick one up for a tenner... Its cheapest way of dropping temps (aside from night time lights on as mentioned up there!)

Now, your dry pots... Pot size isn't fixed in cms: most growers use litres or gallons but at a guess, I'd say those are 2.5g (approx 10l) at most.
i have 12l airpots and I put about a litre through em after they hit top feed levels so it is reasonable to feed a litre: but your grow medium requires different solutions.
I use coco which has to be watered at least daily and I use half strength nutes
Soil tends to be needing watered less frequently, only every three day or so (guide!) and with nutes values nearer the recommended doses..
Feeding soil too often can cause root issue, so avoid that if you can.
Ensure you get a little run off (appx 20%is) is a good practice.
And maybe fashion a 'lid' to sit on top of your media, stop it drying out so quickly...

So the heat doesn’t seem to bad at the moment last night it was 28 seems better over night also I have took the thermometer out the tent and put it next to the outtake ducting so that seems better making a lid for the pot seems like a good idea thanks for that what do you mean by ensure I get a little run off ? Not sure what you mean I’m using bio bizz all mix I am also using nurture

she looks really good. them temps are not so high that you cant grow. You dont need to do anything at this point. i see your new hood is setup up better for getting the heat out. It should be going directly out that carbon filter.

No , you certainly dont need a bigger pot. Pot size is mostly a preference.
If you were to use a tiny solo cup , you would need to use a lot of "chemical" foods. If you use a giant pot , you can get away with running organics and water only for some time.
My opinion is 1-3 true gallons is perfect for beginners. Overwatering is still the number one problem of new growers of ANY container plant so to keep it a bit more simple , i always recommend a smaller pot for beginners. just my 1 cent...
Your plant is beautiful, so keep up whatever your doing with the food. You may want to look into training to get the most out of her. If not its close to time to flower her.

If you want to make the most of her, an up pot is worth the effort.
I have 20/25/50 l pots. If I was only doing one, I'd stick it in a big one for sure, but not always necessary: your entry into growing makes it attractive to grow big, some can, but it requires effort to learn. So the call is yours an ounce or two or gonna shoot for 6 as a first timer...?
Lmao
