Is this even possible? 650w Meijiu Bar Light. 3.0 umol/J. LM301H and Osram. 1950 PPFD!!!!

The lights I have that are similar to his (Majo) that run at 800 watt have a 480 and 320 meanwell.

Which dimmer did they give you? God I hope it isn’t that white box style one with the knob and remote?

if so ive had 4 of those and all went into the trash because of failure. If so that could possibly be the issues with the wattage.

Ok, the same thing happens with my Majo's. I have two 10 bar sets. If I get a power interuption the lights will come on, at least ones from one driver.... only they will be dimmed to the minimum.

Don't know why this is, so if I don't need that dimmer... the white box type... I just plug the drivers directly into the timer.

If there is not power interuption the lights function on/off fine.

So what did you do for a new dimmer, or did you just scrap it completely and not use the dimmer function at all?

I like the new dimmer on the MJ-650 better. The remote control on the white box isn't needed in my opinion.
 
Those numbers are bullshit. Ask them for there sphere test data from the testing company. I'll garantee you that MAYBE they'd hit 2.5, which is still quite good. Hell even Fluence doesn't claim these numbers! HLG Tested some of Chill LED's lights in a sphere test, and showed that their number were BS, I hope they test one of these in the near future. These Alibaba companies are all cutthroat liars. Don't beleive it? Good I've got a

This light (if true) would slaughter any light on the market right now at $580 + shipping fee. Is this even possible at this stage of LED tech? 3.0 efficacy??? Top of the line LEDs are anywhere from 2.6-2.8 umols right now for double the price.






They have another one that claims lm301B diodes instead of lm301H but its $80 cheaper. Im thinking its the same exact thing. Claims 2.7umol which seems more realistic than this 3.0.

Shit my old BC Blonds hit 2.5 . Its about diode count. You need like 2000 diodes to hit 3.0 like the optic eight. 2.8 is easier to hit, like in a photo boost strip.

Didn't say they were fake, I said the numbers were bullshit. I didn't say they were bad or junk. But I hate companies that rig their data to sell more. Hell if these lights are good, a 2.5 would be a number to be proud of! Not many companies out there have hit above even 2.6 yet.

And you can't extract PPFD from a light map, it needs to be tested in a sphere.

But hey, if you like being lied to, that's your perogative.

The optic slim 600h is 3.0 umols with blues dragging it down a bit. 2700 diodes to do it. You think they are full of shit too?

Thanks! I think we all pretty much know the baba sellers embellish on their numbers a bit.

I didn’t even look at their PPFD charts this time when I bought the MJ-650.

Knew pretty much with the number of diodes, the spacing, and past experience with these guys that the lights would kill it.

At this point in the game it’s pretty clear that there are a few particular known Baba sellers that rival the North American and European sellers.

Side by side comparison, or when the power bill comes in, you’re be hard pressed to tell the difference.
