I can lay it on top of the plant if I want to, but then the lower branches dont get ANY light.are you using the led ufo, thingy for budding too?... seems to be working well but can you get it any closer with out burning the plants? i don't think leds put out very many lumens.. i'd say good job so far..
i have to say super2200 those look awesome, what strain is it?
As you are NO WHERE close to harvest I can't say ABOUT how long it will take as it depends on the factors i mentioned, but I have used LED and CFL's to grow and both take considerably longer to produce bud than MH and HPS. Once bud growth slows down after the initial flowering growth spurt and you can see trichomes with the naked eye you can start to use the magnifier but you don't have to wait to do so. If you know the normal time it takes for this strain to flower (Try seedbanks for information) add at least another month to that time and just keep an eye on it.I agree, but as you can tell I am NO WHERE close to harvesting.
I was trying to get an idea of ABOUT how long I had left.
I do have a 60-100x's magnifier to use when things get better, but as for now how many weeks before I even need to pull it out?
One of the problems of LED's is that they do not penetrate the canopy very well, same with CFL's to a lesser extent. You can LST the plant or use various other techniques to maximize the effectiveness and coverageI can lay it on top of the plant if I want to, but then the lower branches dont get ANY light.
The UFO's are about 5 inches from the top now, just so the lower branches can get a little. Thats also why I have the CFL's there to help.
Hmm. Ok on 10/8 I took my clones out of the clonebox I built.
On 11/1 I placed the clones over in the flower side
Thats 3 weeks of growing in the VEG side
by 12/3 they had doubled in height, and started flowering a little
Thats 4 weeks since moved to FLOWER side
yes I know. I just dont have any option for ventilation, or I would be using HPS.P.S LED's don't put out high lumens as with other bulbs however the light they do produce is in the right spectrum for the plants as a lot of light in other bulbs gets wasted as the plant doesn't utilize green and yellow light
Cool, I was just clarifying for someone else who posted asking you how many lumens it outputted.yes I know. I just dont have any option for ventilation, or I would be using HPS.
As far as VEGing, the led's are SUPERIOR to fluorescent, but for flowering, IDK yet, this is my first LED run
Thanks for all the other good advice
man alot longer than 3-4 weeks. what are you thinkin?those pics are a bit fuzzy dude - check out your cam and see if u got a close-up (macro) setting that might help for sharpness.
3-4 more weeks is my guess
imho i would let them go in veg from ne where from 3 weeks to 4 weeks. Check my link in my sig out. My girls are almost 4 weeks and im switching them into flowering tomorrow.
