There's a filter made called Zero Water that's a lot cheaper than an RO unit but more than a Brita. Works like a Brita tho so if you need a lot of water it's going to be a PITA to get quantity.is there anything I can do to the water to remove all of the unneccisary stuff other than a R.O. machine? I don't have the funds for it right now.
I'm shopping for the RO filter and housing on it's own and build my own system with finer filters than what they come with. My water comes out of a dugout and we already filter it to 5 micron and that's what the first filter is in the store bought systems. Plus they use a different sized filter that cost 50% more than the ones we use now. I want 1 or 0.5 micron filters in front of the RO membrane. Want the de-ionizing filter after that too.
