Agree. Those cups should be long gone by now.
I was originally starting out with a sog of bag seeds while i was establishing a mother and was saving the $2 pots for the best ones but i went out and got some more half gallon pots to put a few in- the 2 bucks will probably add a shit ton more yield with healthier quality
Someone had told me adding calmag from botanicare will throw a lot of other things off because of the nitrogen adding acidity and that the ratios of nutes gets thrown off and that i was recommended to not use that but to add calcium acetate + epsom salt man its hard to figure them out cause they didn't respond too well to the last feeding gosh trying to figure out where i went wrong, besides ph @ 6.5 and using fox farm trio+ ffof, does anyone else have an opinion on other additives for deficiencies?
I've been having very similar issues to you! I haven't decided on if I should buy the cal-mag from the hydro store or go with the alternatives. Do your red/purple stems feel more flimsy than the others because mine do
no the purple stems I saw were on my mother which is strong as fuck the stems are like telephone cables that are stiff so if it was flimsy it would still be stronger than the others, and az2000 has an awesome explaination for why using calmag to broadly treat a specific cal or mag def, I couldn't find the link but you should search for it he shows to make calcium acetate for a cal def and recommends Epsom for mag in specific ratios
What are you feeding your girls? I use Ffof ~%35 perlite and the trio plus a bit of calmag from botanicare (getting some epsom salt today to replace for mag n sulphur def) i don't really think adding the extra iron nitrogen and calcium for an original mag def helped me out much lol

I'm not a fan of that combo. But you paid for it... might as well use it. The trio pack is VERY HOT.... use it sparingly. It is very easy to burn your plants with that combo.

Well it didn't help the initial mag def or it did but then other things got out of whack after 2-3 times using some cal mag and i used a half tsp with like 2-3tsp grow big and like 2 bloom and theyre getting nitrogen toxicity kinda bad but I'm going to use Epsom salt i think tomorrow to also combat sulphur n mag def
