I don't mean to question your nut knowledge or exasperate you, but perhaps you meant exacerbate?

i disagree a palistiniane state is the only solution.isreal and palistine equally protected by the UN and both subject to rules and consequences.
Are you a resident there? What skin do you have in this game? Not a challenge, I'm just curious. I'm merely an interested observer, knowing that my tax dollars are being extracted from my wallet to enrich weapons manufacturers- and kill people. I'd like to see a stop put to this outrage against humanity and I'm willing to consider any reasonable options that would lead to this end.

It pretty clear that a two state solution is simply not on the cards anymore. While there was a UN mandate, it's never been enforced- and history has moved on in any case.

While it might have been a viable option at some point, I just don't see how it could be implemented in the present day; attitudes have hardened, borders have moved, Palestinians now live all over the map- and so do Jewish Israelis.

I think the better option given today's facts on the ground is full suffrage for everyone in the occupied territories in an expanded (really, just recognizing the situation at it is today) Israel. I know this won't sit well with some- on both sides... but that's the art of compromise.

If it becomes clear that Arabs can get effective representation in the Knesset this solution becomes much more attractive as a way for everyone to finally get along- no matter what the patch of land is called.

The main thing is to stop killing each other- for profit or any other motive... nevermind wasting my taxpayer dollars and smearing America's good name.

aparteid does not work.all the US has to do is not block the vote and we will have two states its just that easy.

You assume that the United States has the power to make people get along. I disagree. I think that all we can do is encourage them to figure it out for themselves and support the process.

US doesnt need to make them get along the UN will.
Dude, you can't force two individuals to get along, how do you figure you can force two groups the size of nations? They gotta want it. The only way for them to even start is by listening to each other- and that only happens when they share power.

It's a very shortsighted view of the world that assumes you can somehow 'just make' people- nevermind peoples- to get along. It never really works in the schoolyard, let alone in politics.

palistine wants a recognized state isreal does not because now they would be protectected by the UN and isreal or palistine would be sanctioned if they did not listen or maybe palistine or isreal would get removed by the UN and loose there recognition by the UN.

its hard for the UN to get involved when palistine is not recognized as a state.once they are then there are many things that can be done and investigated on both sides.
