Good day everybody. Today, my curiosity and lack of a similar experience caused by this one damn plant has caused my patience to run thin. Please don't be an ass and say "I'm so tired of people asking what sex their plant is instead of waiting" because I have waited plenty, and 2 weeks in flower I feel obligated to know what exactly this is so I don't possibly RUIN my entire grow! SEXING has never been an issuer for me in the past. It's always been so straight forward, but this plant is challenging me. I really just need other people's knowledge on it. It does have pistils, so I know for a fact it is female. But the question is is it also male? All of the pistil spots are only on new growth on top of the shoots, older nodes show a different side though. Hell, even 2 weeks ago I was ready to chop it off from seeing these parts but decided to wait!
To explain briefly, this plant has caused question for the last two weeks. I am now in week 2 of flower, so of course the majority of babies have shown me whether they'll be giving or receiving But this plant is showing possibly both? In the beginning, my initial thought was male first week of 12/12 because of the parts that strongly resembled a MALE. But I thought, whatever, i'll give it another week, because pre flowers can of course be somewhat unreliable. Week later and that notion is confirmed; the plant's newer growth shoots are showing pistils, but only out of obviously-shaped calyxes. However, below all of these pistillate parts, appears a node with a highly questionable, roundish-spade-shaped part. And theres at least 6 of these. I wouldn't be posting this if I knew the answer obviously. Never, in any of plants, have I ever seen a calyx that resembled a male so well, so I'm asking if you all think this plant is a hermie? Or am I still jumping the gun? Time is of the essence, so again please don't be an ass.. it would be irrational for a grower to not be alarmed by this no? Tell me what you think!
Heres 2 of the ones in question (They all look like that, but NONE of the pistillate calyxes hold that shape)
