I wish I could share their smell with yall.. its definitely the strongest aroma I've encountered in vegetation so far. Very skunky, I can't wait to start flowering.

Very surprised to here that especially since I never heard mention of it in sannies forums but I am looking forward to running it. Any updates?

Everything is going swimmingly thus far. Except my clones. I suck at cloning.


I'm about to chop what looks like two males. I have been waiting and waiting for more definitive evidence, but the white hairs have failed to sprout out of the little sexual crest deals, and the others (including the one I germinated 12 days behind the rest) have all sprouted their pubes. 4/6 were female, so a nice ratio.

Having an internal debate over whether or not Im going to top them and scrog or not. Seems like a crime to top them.. but if I don't scrog then Id always be wondering if I'd have gotten a better yield off em... so I'll probably end up doing it.

Im with you man! haha, I think that they're pretty awesome so far.

By the way, thanks for saying whats up earlier, to both of yall. I didn't think anyone was keeping up with this thread and was thinking about discontinuing it. I have actually decided that even though this site kicks ass -almost everyone I meet on here is super cool, but I am getting tired of the grind and stress that comes with growing (at the moment).

This is going to be my last grow for awhile, but I will finish this thread/grow because I think it has a few interesting points to be proved. I have realized that there really is no need for additives with the GH Flora series (keeping it simple) - and a few other things that I think people should know - like changing out the res and stuff, most people do this once every week or two, and I skate by on like once a month.

Anyways, thanks for dropping in, and if you guys have a grow you want to share, or any questions feel free to post on here (as long as its not a book, lol).

For your clones also How do you cut them? and dont use the hole in the middle ever its not air tight make your own,ANd when you try cutting them cut the bottem of the cutting at an angel and on the other side that is not cut do some little cuts then dip then sick in another hole.Just just them daily and make sure that your box is slightly humid yet moist.

Thanks for the advice on those clones, I'm going to take it. All of those friggin died, so I will be taking a few more very soon since i started flowering today, and will keep them misted next time.
Also.. I had been charging my rockwool with 190-250 ppm of nutes before sticking the clones in them (5.5-5.9 pH), do you recommend this? Or should I just use plain RO water for misting and soaking the cubes?

@ SuperStrainz - thanks for the kind words mang, its not over yet! Not for at least another 2.5-3 months- I have a sativa in there with the JackBerries.

Don't start with water of 0ppm, you really need some sort of EC to balance your PH. But in my recent experience, depending on temps, you should either go with nothing, just ph balanced lower EC, but still stable water, and a thick rooting hormone gel, or with lower temps, a thick or thin rooting hormone, doesn't really matter, and a little bit of clonex solution.

Recently, in mid ranged temps baring on the higher side, I found that dipping my cubes briefly until wet in a balanced solution that was just 1 gal distilled water and 5ml of Clonex Gel and using HydroponX (or some shit) cloning gel gave me great results within 9 days. And a sharp as shit razor really helps, don't reuse old razors. I found that using a lower pH closer to 5.6 is best because it will naturally raise over the next few days,

Also, those supposed males were definitely males. I would recommend scrogging unless you have high ceilings and 1k lamps. Those are huge plants. Otherwise you will be lollipopping like a mofo. if they are sativa heavy, which I believe they are, day 1 or 2 of flower is a great time to start scrogging.

Thanks for the refresher on the clones, it has been so friggin long since I cloned that I forgot how I made it work last time. Last time I think like every single one of my clones made it, lol - even though they looked like shit... remember the dixie cups with 1 month old clones in there? lol. BUT they stayed alive! and really took off when I dumped them in the 5 gal hempies. good times.

Im going to build my scrog screen tomorrow, and take some more clones.. Today I cleaned out the two reservoirs I hadn't cleaned before switching to flower, and noticed some gnats in there.. Im really hoping its not those fukking fungus gnats again.

They all look pretty good... I increased the nutes and they are responding favorably. Depending on the reservoir, nute levels are 400-600ppm. Last grow I tried to keep both the reservoirs equal, but now have learned that was stupid, and am just trying to read them for what they need as they grow. The odor is becoming stronger and stronger, but no pre-flower formation yet.

I have the larger ones bent over with some LST- really more like HST, they have pretty woody stalks now so I really have to wrangle em down 'der. Hyaaww! I want them to get used to going horizontal since I have some gaps to fill from the males I had to cut.

I am still watching and were all looking forward to some huge purp buds!

I dont know if the JackBerry will stretch enough to make it, but the Chinese Pheno KF7 sure will.. they're already drinking around 2 gallons of water a day (Im glad I topped them... they will be enormous. The JackBerries on the other hand already look like their structure is becoming more compact in preparation of bloom, but not really any stretch.. I hope they do or I might consider taking the screens off.

Also - The side with HPS's and green wire on the scrog has the two Chinese Kf7's, and only one JackBerry.
The side with the MH's are all JackBerry (I am in the process of getting some more HPS bulbs)

Yea dude, I feel like they really just started to stretch a few days ago, but yea they are continuing to stretch.

Ill post some more pics up tonight or tomorrow night - but since it is a scrog it will be hard to see the stretch.

I have been pruning around the bottom of the plants to encourage vertical growth as well, I don't know the wisdom of doing so during flower, but I figured if I was going to then I better do it in the beginning of flower as opposed to the end. Probably should have started doing this in mid veg, but hadn't decided whether or not to scrog.

So this is day 7 of 12/12 - and they just started to really stretch the past few days. I imagine the JackBerry will stretch for another week or two, and the Chinese KF7's will continue to stretch for another 3 weeks to a month. I would guesstimate that 80% of "Screen 1" will be the KF7's.

At this point I am definitely more impressed with the KF7's. They handle increase in nutrients without problems, have little or no negative repercussions from trimming the shit out of them, and they are growing much faster at the moment than any of the JackBerry. The one that I mentioned at the very beginning of this thread, with strange, extremely sativa-like leaf structure, and that originally looked like shit, has recovered fully, and has the juiciest stink I have ever smelled. The other, larger KF7 smells similar but not quite as pungent or flavorful. I would compare their aroma to bubblegum and berries. Kiwi/Greenapple maybe? It is hard to put a finger on. Anyways, these are BEAUTIFUL plants. very very pretty to look at. The juicier pheno also grows more like a vine.. so the stalks are rather weak, and seems perfect for scrog. If I could do a vertical scrog grow with this baby I could only imagine what the yield might be.

Most of the JackBerries have a distinctive "purp" smell to them..(at the moment) kind of musky skunk, and some are stronger than others. The best pheno I have exhibits strong kush-like smell, and has bushy structure- "George Bush" - looks like a heavy Blue Berry influence, and very little Jack.
The JackBerries also are temperamental when it comes to nutrients. I know that DWC is a very effective source of nutrient uptake, but damn, my ppm has been below 600 on all of these.. even the KF7's. The JackBerry seems to prefer ppm's 450-500. KF7 likes 600-650 right now.

Clones are at 250ppm, 5.6-5.7 pH - being misted twice a day, and fed once a day. Still no roots yet. I took 3 "PineCone" pheno clones (from the larger and more vigorous JackBerry plant) and 3 from "George Bush" pheno. (bushier, slightly shorter, but with many more bud sites)
So far, only one clone has died, which was one of the PineCone phenos. They are 4 days old I think.

Looking good! That all makes sense i have grown the killing fields before and it is a yielder with some stretch and the jackbery is a blueberry cross.
I have grown out blueberry a couple times and it is nute sensitive. Purple buds coming soon!
