looks like interesting stuff! i like the profile a lot of hormones in there definitely a pgr i will have a look..

i'm focusing on microbes now and juicing the soil with specific groupings for grow and bloom.
so far its been doing me great. i have only been using veg+bloom dirty vitazyme and golden tree check out the growth from these combos. pic 1 is 2 weeks ago, pic 2 is 1 week ago and 3rd pic was yesterday. i been doing different little tests and the best combo is the one that i added golden tree to so i will be sticking with it from here on out with 2ml dose of vitazyme 2 times a month.

Again, I don't know why you folks keep bringing up a liquid vs dry argument, they're the same salts. Anyway, for the last six months I've been playing with the addition of potassium sulfate to my normal feeding regimen and can honestly say the addition has done nothing at all. In fact, my lab results from a while back showed that the average 'veg' food has plenty of K. It may not hurt to add more but that doesn't mean your plants are taking it up.
Yes your average veg food has enough potassium... but the highest potassium requirement is in mid to late flower!

Are you just writing stuff down because you are bored? I will keep answering questions but come on...

Liquid vs Soluble nutrients are far from the same thing! There are many base nutrients that use the same nutrient salts yes, but what about all the biostimulants ie humic acid, fulvic acid, kelp, yucca etc. etc.... buying these in a soluble powder is much different then some liquid concoction!

Hello Jacks Users!

First time grower, and I plan on using Jacks With Promix.

Just to clarify what I've read, using jacks classic 20/20/20 is good from start to finish, but it would be more beneficial, to use jacks classic for my veg, and the citrus for my bloom, is that right?

First time grower 6 weeks into this and its going well so far....I went with Promix HP and added 30% perlite. Use Jacks Citrus from beginning to end. You will need some Cal/Mag (either liquid or Epsom salt for Mag and Calcium sulfate for calcium). Water PH when watering 5.6-6.2.

I've also added Pro-tekt Silicon supplement to my waterings and once a week I add some Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro as it includes different types of minerals.

I know several people who do just that, with mind bending results!

I use Jacks Bloom Booster from beginning to end, although everyone that I respect tells me I should be going with the Citrus Feed (low P) instead.....but to be honest, I like how my plants grow out for the most part. I do have to add bat guano and cal/mag at times depending on the strain.

I grow in Happy Frog soil.

The 20-20-20 general nutes from Jacks is good stuff. Use warm water when mixing as it doesn't dissolve as well with cold tap water....same with the citrus feed. You'll enjoy having to spend about $10 every other month for your nutrients while getting great plants.

Glad to hear it. Ahhhh! It's all coming together!!! Time to start ordering everything, and ironing out the last couple details! Aaahhh!!!

For real though, I've randomly been getting the giggles, just thinking about it, stone cold sober, lol. 8-)8-)
Oh, dear- you've got it bad, don't you? I should know, I'm a terminal case!

Ok, so I honestly can't remember which thread this is from (I've been going through threads for 4-8 hours a day all week :o) and I believe it was RM3 that was basically saying "sulfur, sulfur, sulfur," so I was wondering, with the citrus (or the classic) would it be better to get calcium sulphate and magnesium sulfate, instead of cal/mag?

Stay away from cal-mag. Use epsom salts instead for supply and magnesium supplementation. Mix it separately and add at about 1 to 1.5g/gal of nutrient solution.

BTW, I just saved you a ton of money. You can take me out for a steak now!

Also, I keep seeing people talk about Epsom Salts...are these the ones you get from the grocery store, in the pharmacy aisle?

yes, i get mine at Walgreens and it's really cheap. i use it on all my plants and palms are particularly fond of it. i use it for soil and foliar.

i've also used Jacks 20-20-20 even when it was Peters. great stuff!!!

Lol, at 1g/nute gal, I can't imagine I'd ever finish that bag.

And off the top of my head, Epsom Salt is Calcium Manganese right? So it is essentially cal/mag?

I gotta get readin on deficiencies, now that I have MOST of my grow planned out, it's time to get ready for the fuck ups. I'm starting my ordering this week.

Side note, anyone know a good place to get grow tents? I need a 4x4 with at least 5.5 feet of height. I have picked out a good one from Amazon, but they don't wrap it, it comes in a big box that says "MYLAR PLANT TENT," which might as well read "GOING TO START GROWING WEED"

Believe it or not, Walmart carries grow tents online that are affordable. I'm no expert about tents other than I absolutely hate zippers (bad camping experience) and it always seems like everyone's zippers crap out...and I personally find it a pain to constantly zip and unzip to get at my plants.

If it's in the cards for you, it's easy to build a 4x4 room with particle board and a few 2x4's...and put a real door on it. Paint the inside flat white, cut some holes for ventilation, and you're off to the races. The downside is it's not portable like tents are....but honestly I know of very few people that actually move their tent around once it's set up.

Damn, the ones at Walmart are twice the price...might be worth it to not having the package delivered to mine or a family members house though... Grrr

Originally I was planning on making two cabs, but was unable to find anything that fit my dimensions. A room would be nice, but not too stealthy either.

My new plan was to get 2 grow tents, one for veg/clone and one for flower, and just stack Rubbermaid from the basement all around them, if we were going to have company.

Grrr
