Jacks vs. Advanced vs. Remo

Jack's 3-2-1 and Master Blend are the only two I've used. Both are great. I use Jack's as recommended for veg and early flower....Then I switch to the Jack's 10-30-20 Bloom Booster for a couple of weeks while the flowers are stacking and then end with the Master Blend 4-18-38 as a finish to harden off and ripen the buds.
I just bought some of the 10-30-20 to try. What week do you swap and then how long do you run it and what EC? Thanks

In the past, I think I started the bloom booster too early and used it for too long. This time, I am going to wait for week #2 of flower, then mix 2.5 grams per gallon and apply it for two weeks -maybe with some CalMag if need be. After that, back to the regular 3-2-1 system for a couple more weeks and then finish with the Master Blend -depending on the strain, of course.

EDIT: I have never used EC as a measurement. I wouldn't know where to begin with all that stuff.

i used jacks for veg and flower, but the last run, I got some masterblend 0-20-42 for flower this time, and holy shit, did it fucking crush this round. Grew out the highest quality of bud i ever have. So now, im using jacks in veg, masterblend in flower. Buy the 25# bag and you will never have to buy more ferts again haha

when i use 321 all the way thru, i always get what looks like potassium deficiency towards the end of lower, sorta like what i see on your strawberry gorilla and trop poison grows
I was mixing in the wrong order up until a few weeks ago....supposed to mix part 1 with 3 then add 2.......I was just mixing 123.....since then it seems to have stopped. Fingers crossed!

I think that's down to grower error since Jacks is pretty high in K in all their formulas.

Sounds like over fertilizing to me. How much do you feed? Do you measure EC on what's going in? Salt build up will be a problem if you blindly follow recommendations growing in containers.

That's why you see repeated flushes in many nutrient regiments from manufacturers, they want you to overuse their products for profit.

That being said it's easier to flush than monitoring leachates inside and what's going out of the containers and there's not much wrong with flushing as long as it gives good end result for the grower.

I've used canna, bio nova, Ionic, hydrocrop and megacrop I've had good results with all of those.

Now I buy whatever is the best price per litre at the time.

Dry powder didn't work out great for me?
1kg dry powder £27 does around 750ltr at 1.5ec.
5ltr canna coco £40 1666ltr @1.5ec

Even in large amounts it's not great value over here: 10ltr canna ab £60 =3333ltr @1.5ec
5kg of powder £70 = 3750ltr @1.5ec
I'm with canna atm and have no issues with it.

could be, but since I switched to masterblend 0-20-42 I'm not having that issue. The highest my EC goes is around 2.1, but at week 6 i'm tapering down from there. I push around 1000 at the top of the canopy, no co2... always fed to runoff

I'm liking the way Masterblend is doing their base salt mixes. Not filling it up with cheap MgSO4 and giving you a higher percent NPK.
