I tried some Spectras a while back and ended up using them for veg lights, they work fine for that. I'm really intrigued by new LED models but I just can't spring that kind of cheddar to use strictly LEDS and take the risk of them sucking bawz lol. I've seem some pretty decent grows using LEDS exclusively for flower, but nothing that convinces me that they are as good as HID just yet.

Time for a pipe and zzzzzzzzzzz

Looking excellent in there JD. Great idea with the flashlight, I look forward to trying that out myself soon.

The Somango is special. Delish! It is my first Keeper.

I am working hard to protect my tent. Going perpetual has new stresses.

I used Fertilome and Spinosad on all ladies before they go into the tent,
and I will be making a pepper spray.

Well, you would know. Thanks for bringing the LED knowledge to my thread. :0)

Honestly, if $'s were not an issue, then I'd pay the $2000 or so that I would need
to get the setup I really want.

When these prices fall a bit more, then we are good to go.

Hey, I just got a 9 Watt (!) Cree bulb for $13 that is shockingly bright.

9 watts! Yes, there is a future here, somewhere.

I could legitimize using LED's this year or next if I saw the results I expect from people I trust. It would save me a lot of money and make growing in the summer a lot more pleasant. Cooler operating temps and energy consumption with LED's is very appealing. I think you're right though, they are becoming more and more relevant.

Unfortunately fellas..........HID results with half the wattage is NOT going to be cheap.............Cree mk-r(or better) panels that will be releasing this year your still looking at around $5 a watt pre-built:shock:.

Like I said before CMH bulbs still have their place as a long term one step lighting solution.

That is pricey! lol I've tried CMH but at that time they were limited to 400 watt magnetic. Less footprint and penetration for a single hood tent unfortunately. Have there been any changes in this department? I would toss a 600W or 1000w CMH in a digital ballast in a heartbeat.

Stick one in an OG hood............get your sunglasses ready!!!lol

Personally I'd wait for the higher wattage philips cmh elite-agro series.....highest PPF per watt of any source ATM and awesome lumen maintenance(3 yr no bulb change).....BUT again looking at almost led $$$.... the 315w versions are TOP for small grows imo:

DNA's Holy Grail Kush got the nod today.

It was given it's own 5 gallon hempy.

No idea when it will get into the tent...5-6 weeks
at least, and so I will be chopping this lady down and
training the stumps to behave. :0)

I have to add that this might be the stinkiest plant that
I have ever Vegged. It can stink up a room in Veg,
and not all that old either.

I chopped the Plushberry lying male. LOL I do have another
clone that I might watch to see the balls again...just to be sure. :0)

I will be giving the TGA Apollo X Vortex female a hempy today as well.

I am also going to LST the Trainwreck in its hempy today.

The TGA Ace Of Spades might be the plant needing to flower most right now.

Hey JD great lookin girls they just look beautiful man....I miss the smell of a fresh marijuana plant! .... But aha! I am waiting for my Ogkush seeds to start my next grow. I got 5 vanilla kush from Barney's, 2 Ogkush on their way and 16 other seeds all good qualit. So I'm fucking excited to drop em all and see where it will take me SINCE 55% of Americans are in favor of MARIJUANA, LOL.....I fucking love it.....Thank you CNN hahahaha! One love yeah.....I just had a nice dab of sour diesel clear oil and it gave me nice boost lol.....do I make sense? :lol:

My led Flashlight pics didnt come out well.
My LED light is too bright or phone cam isnt good enough,not to mention 3 hands required to do it lol.

We have seen Jig grow with many different techniques in his closet, with HID(s), this grow with the LEDs will be the ticket IMO

I think that you need to get much closer, and your camera will
likely switch to "macro mode". If it does not, then check your
camera's guide, as it might be available in program mode.

Yea jd, I am still down as fuck to do that, just prob would have to be after the move and such, as I am already going to be moving quite a few strains up to OR with me. But I am keeping the Jack herer, lemon larry, cherry pie, blue cheese + all the strains from hemlock so I am sure there are some that I have you would like to get your hands on :) I know that somango has me really interested. Sucks about the purpleberry, I was wanting to give it a go, there's always a market for people wanting purps, and man that shit turned PURPLE! Anyway, keep on keeping on my friend,
